Starwest Cinnamon, Ceylon, Powder, Organic-1 lb

When I opened my package of Organic Ceylon Cinnamon Powder and took in its aroma, it was off put by it's fruitiness. However, when I tasted it I was pleasantly surprised by its light and delicious flavor. I add it to my morning coffee and it is such a treat!

After learning that Casia cinnamon could be harmful to my health, I stopped using it. I looked online for a place to purchase ceylon cinnamon and Piping Rock had the lowest price. I ordered it and it arrived very soon afterward. It comes in a large 1lb resealable bag. I poured some into a shaker and have been using it every morning in my coffee. The taste is very good.

I use it to make a simple fruit salad that everyone loves. I dice whole organic apples with the skin on, add raisins or dried cranberries, walnuts, Ceylon Cinnamon and honey and sometimes I add some tangerine or orange and mix it up! Enjoy!

I was a little leery about this brand because of some negative feedback. But, boy! The quality can't be beat, the taste and fragrance is the real thing, quality ingredient, and baking recipes have just been kicked up several notches! We love oatmeal cookies now.

I was so pleasantly surprised when I opened this Cinnamon Powder. The aroma was pleasantly mild , not overly scented as is often the case when old. I could tell immediately upon opening the bag that this organic spice was fresh, no doubt about it. I realized then that I probably had not experienced really fresh, quality cinnamon until now. It was truly a treat! I use it all the time and am probably more pleased and impressed with this ground cinnamon now than I was the day I first opened the bag. It pours and mixes beautifully. Great to bake with as well as adding to my coffee and, my favorite, cinnamon toast. Obviously, the cinnamon itself is quality taste but the fact that it arrives having maintained its freshness, its wonderful texture and smoothness, speaks volumes to the quality of the packaging itself. I am really thrilled! Thank you!

I use ceylon cinnamon daily in protein shakes, mixed with cottage cheese & nuts, in cookies/muffins - even in DIY tooth powder. It has too many medicinal & nutritional benefits to count!

Wanted to compare to the Saigon cinnamon been using for years. There is a different taste but a softer one. Have used in oatmeal and in baking. Bought a pound so will last awhile.
