It really is perfect, in the sense that you can use it for just about anything. the wok shape means that it works for both small and large volumes, ingredients-wise.

This is a valued pan in my kitchen. With its even heating and easy clean up, I tend to use it more that my other pans.

After less than five uses the bottom of this pan is dull gray in several areas. I only cleaned it with dawn liquid dish detergent soap, soft sponge and cloth. It has not been used to heat more than at medium high heat on electric stove. The sides of the pan looks beautiful.

I just received my perfect pan and I'm quite impressed. It holds a larger amount of volume than the regular French oven. Used it for turmeric risotto and yet it was so easy to clean. I'm only giving 4 stars due to the lid. As compared to other Staub products, it seems they have cut costs on the lid quality, which is flimsy and I don't like the metal rim which seems cheap. I would rather they include the dome lid with it.
