I love my new Dutch Oven! It is the perfect size for making soups, stews, roasts and whole chickens. And it cleans up like a dream! I had a difficult time deciding on a color, but I am very happy I chose Genedine; it's a deep, rich burgundy looks beautiful.
I love this cast iron pot. I used it to cook my chicken Chop Suey and chicken tinola. I love how it holds the heat during and after cooking. It keeps food warm for a long time after cooking. Sautéing in this pot gives food so much more flavor.
A beautiful and useful addition to our kitchen. For many years I made do without a Dutch Oven. I Substituted a roasting pan with aluminum foil cover. Made my pot roast in the new Staub Dutch Oven last week. What we have missed, juicy, more flavorful and easy breezy clean up ... thrilled with this purchase.
I am a relatively new cook in my home and am just getting into braising, roasting, etc and have been using my Staub 4 qt. braiser. I love it. Its heaviness and quality make me feel good - like a real chef! I have not yet used my new 5.75-qt Coq au Vin Cocotte (I just received it yesterday) but know it will be just as great as my braiser.
I love the shape of the Coq Au Vin Coquette. I love the shorter sides than my big round Dutch oven and the oval shape so perfect for a small roast or chicken.
The pot is lighter than the competing brand. The finish is excellent. I love the color. Cleanup is easy. I have already made several dishes including coq au vin and it turned out well. I will be enjoying this pot for a long time.
I've had this piece for 4 years. Kt's a workhorse and versatile in my kitchen. I use to bake bread, briase any piece of meat to perfection. I'm a truly believer that you need to invest once in your kitchen appliance to last you a lifetime.
I BOUGHT THIS 6 WEEKS AGO AND ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!! I HAVE MADE STUFFED CABBAGE, STUFFED PEPPERS, CHICKEN SOUP, MEATBALLS/WITH SAUCE AND NOW THIS MORNING I AM MAKING BEAN AND HAM HOCK SOUP............I LOVE STAUB POTS, THEY ARE THE ABSOLUTEL BEST PRODUCT OUT THERE.........I EVEN BOUGHT MY DAUGHTER AND SISTER YOUR PUMPKIN AND TOMOTO STAUB POTS AND THEY LOVE IT!!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, STAUB.........NOTHING BEATS YOUR STAUB POTS!!!!
I chose Staub over some other brands because it was the highest quality, and by far the most beautiful. I prepared a Coq Au Vin for my first use and not only were our guest impressed with their meal, but all commented on the dutch oven. I can't wait to use it again.
This arrived to me with pitted areas all over on the top. I love the Staub brand and was very surprised this was sent to a customer in the condition I received it in.
