This set is terrific in so many ways. So let's start with how well it does what it was designed for, baking. Awesome. i use it for individual custards and cheesecakes because they work so well in a bain marie. Crisp, Crumbles, Cobblers, just right. Brownies and individual cakes, beautiful. Evaluating its performance, I give it an A+. But what I really like to do is give these as gifts. I often break up a set, and pair a cocotte with my favorite salt, spice blend or olive oil and folks are pleasantly surprised! Great hostess gift, especially at the holidays, when everyone is giving wine.
