Stauffer's Animal Crackers Chocolate, 20oz Shelf-Stable Bag

These are my absolute favorites. Why the actual heck would I recommend these to people when I plan to raid the shelf for them all? Do you understand that if I come there and they don't have them? I start crying and have to figure out what else I'm getting that I will enjoy just as much...and I end up mad and leaving the store with pickles or something I didn't even want?

Always looking for treats for a classroom that are easy on a teacher's budget. The kids (teens) love these, especially r the chocolate ones.. They are always crispy, crunchy and taste fresh. They also like the classic animal cookies. These help with their chocolate urge while being lower calories. This is a great value and a large bag, so kids don't eat them all in a day. I've checked around and Walmart has the best price, some stores don't carry the chocolate ones.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know I should eat better but I am over 70, so mud on it, I am having a serving of Chocolate Animal Crackers and Coffee for Breakfast. Now, there's a way to start a happy day, by George! So, yes, I know, that guy is intent on having a war, and BOTH sides of Congress have forgotten for whom they work. Seems most in DC have forgotten their home states, and that there are REAL people living there. There's a long list of other things I can't fix. The few minutes I have my coffee, I can recall days past when it was enjoyable to wake up and start a new day with a Breakfast of Champions. Pick your own. Enjoy starting your day someway that makes you smile. Life can be shorter than you expect. You deserve more smiles.

So fresh and and such a delightful chocolate flavor. What an excellent snack. Heck, I could eat a whole bunch of these and not notice, need to take out my allotted quantity and stop. These are really great and such a great value. Buy these in double quantity.

If you like animal crackers and you like chocolate this is for you. At under 10 calories a cookie it is easy to fit into a diet because it really satisfies that need for something sweet and gives you that satisfied feeling faster with less calories than other cookies.

These chocolaty animal crackers are just that, " a little bit chocolaty "! Not sweet enough for a " cookie" and not " salty" enough for a " cracker"! The perfect snack for young and old! These crackers are always fresh! Always! So, good that one could devour them before they realize it! Great price for the budget minded shopper too!

I'm trying to keep sugar to a minimum for good health, so I've reached for these chocolate animal "crackers". Their density is a bit too firm, the sweetness does satisfy and size is good so as not to overdo. I wish the "cracker" would be less dense and more the substance of a cooker

Stauffers changed the chocolate animal crackers recipe! Sometimes I might get a surprise bag of the original recipe cookies. Most of the time they look puffy, dry, and may have a green- blue hue. These used to be my favorite low sugar snack, but not anymore. 😔 😟 🙁 😥

So I rated these kind of differently than I normally would I would say I would recommend these because they are a healthier cookie to me. They taste like Oreo cookies without the filling for my family, though they did not like these I think because kids are used to more sweetness when it comes to a cookie, but I think these cookies are perfect for little toddlers or older people Who just want a little bit of sweetness, but still the healthy aspect. These are not something I will buy again because like I said, my children were not a big fan on these, but they are something that I will eat eventually and they do last long. I suggest taking them out of the plastic bag they come in and putting them in a Tupperware with a good seal to keep them fresh. This brand is definitely better than the offbrand as the offbrand taste like cardboard.

These have been my go-to snack for years. I could only find them at Walmart, and I preferred the chocolate over the plain. I hadn't bought any in a few months, so I added a bag to my order. To my surprise, they were utterly terrible. I had to do a double-take and check the expiration date. Still good for 7 months, but they upset my stomach. It feels like there's a quiet rebranding effort to make current products worse, pushing people toward newer, three times more expensive items that offer half as much. They think we won't notice, but those who do—usually neurodivergent folks like myself—depend on consistency. I hadn't dealt with a bad batch in years, so this seems intentional. I would have preferred they simply pulled the old product and moved on, rather than ruining the last bit of joy with a terrible recipe change. I don't like the deception, so I'm choosing to stop buying Stauffer's products for my family and me. If they're willing to sabotage their own products, how can I trust them for my own safety, let alone share them with my child? Teddy Grahams did the same thing. The end of an era for a beloved snack and comfort food.
