I was definitely in need of a compact, light-weight garment steamer that I could not only use while at home but one that would be light enough to pack away into a suitcase to travel with. Very compact and light weight. Really gets the job done. I use it for my husbands jeans and recently used it for my delicate blouses. Doesn't take that much time to really heat up. Works great and has a large capacity area to fill the water. Definitely a great garment steamer

This compact garment steamer is the perfect life saver. It can easily fit in luggage to take on the go. It is very light even holding almost 12 oz of water and has a no slip grip handle area. It is easy to fill with a simple twist on and off top and a simple on and off switch located on the top. It is ready to go within minutes and the steam is continuous. Its easy to maneuver. The nozzle is wide enough to cover a good amount of area in a small time. I got the wrinkles out of a dress in less than 8 minutes. You can steam out curtains for seasonal change or freshen up a dry clean only suit super fast with out burning or ruining it. The cord is average length so make sure your garment is close enough to reach.

This is my first experience with a garment steamer. I filled it with tap water, on my garment on the back of the shower door, and begin to steam it from the bottom hem up. It worked well and the wrinkles just fell out it takes about the same amount of time as ironing but is a different method for getting wrinkles out. I was a little surprised that it took so much water and steaming for one small child's dress. It used the majority of the water in the canister for just one garment.

The reservoir cap screws off easy and has a large easy to fill tank. This product says it is a gentle alternative to ironing because it refreshes fabrics with no burning or crushing. I wanted to test this product on a dress I am afraid to iron because it looks horrible when I try. I took out a black dress and crinkled it up and placed in a bag over night. The next day I took out my wrinkled dress and hoped the steamfast would work wonders on it. Wow, is all I can say! I was absolutely surprised how simple this product was to use and how my wrinkles were removed in seconds. I even let my 8-year-old son steam his cloths before school and I didn't have to worry about him burning his cloths or hands. Because this product is easy to use and removes the wrinkles fast without a risk of burning; I defiantly rate this a 5 out of 5 and recommend you replace your iron with this product.

My family of five is always going on some kind of vacation. So, finding a shirt full of wrinkles from a suitcase is something we are no strangers to doing. When I saw this SF-447 Deluxe Compact Garment Steamer, I had to get it! I absolutely hate ironing and this little steamer has made such an impact on that part of my life. The first thing you do is take the top off of it and fill it to the fill line with water. Plug it in and click on the power button. It takes the steamer about thirty seconds to warm the water and the steam starts bellowing out. You direct the steam toward the garment and the wrinkles release immediately. That is it! Now steam away! I put my shirt on a hanger and hang it from a door. Then I gently start steaming it in an up and down motion. I can steam the wrinkles out of a shirt in like two minutes! This is a great tool for travel and just to have at home when you do not want to deal with an ironing board. The steam gets extremely hot, but that is to be expected. Every so often this machine will spit out a little bubble of water onto my garment that I really did not care for. Other than that, I really like this steam iron!

This Steamer is very easy to use and works great on slightly- to meduim wrinkled clothes. We use this steamer on clothes just right out of the dryer and eliminates the need for an iron. One thing we notice is that you should be sure to not overfill or it will spew out water. It will take a few minutes to heat up due to the size of the water tank, however the large tank lets you steam several garments without having to refill the tank. Based on our use, we found it is best to fill slightly under the fill line and you should be fine. Also we have use this on slightly wrinkled clothes that have been in the drawer for awhile without any problems or issues. The steamer works pretty well also on the ocassionaly garment that needs a quick removeal of a wrinkle or two before wearing. We highly recommend this Steamer for puchase as it delivers value for the price.

I have had very little experience with steaming but do have some. Previously, I have used a much larger steamer; so I was taken aback when this steamer was boiling the water in my hand! Not sure why it surprised me- the steam has to come from somewhere! The “kettle” itself does feel sturdy (not like it would boil over or explode or anything). The cord is an appropriate length. I am used to ironing, so the “clean steam” is a nice appeal. And it is definitely compact (small…in a good way). I am not sure how long it should take to heat the water into steam; so the time seemed appropriate. The top was rather warm after I finished steaming; so if you wanted to steam for longer than the 15 minutes it says you will get, you might have to wait to get the top off to refill and steam more / longer. The first shirt I tried was much too heavy (the material was a heavy and tight weave) so the steamer did not work well (but that would be true of any steamer- that shirt needs an iron). This steamer did not sway me over to steaming instead of ironing; but it is a nice steamer.

This is the WORST handheld steamer I have ever used in my life. I went into buying this with low expectations and boy, was I right. You need to put this right up against the fabric for it to do anything...provided that there's steam coming out of it. There's little to no steam. I spent a half hour trying to steam out wrinkles on a shirt and it still didn't get them out completely. So, I just ended up using an iron. Do yourself a favor: buy the most expensive clothing steamer you can find. You'll have better luck. Totally returning this.
