Stearns® Classic Blue Adult Life Jacket

I believe it to be a decent life vest. I would hope if my kayak is turned over and I get clonked in the head it would right me so I can breathe. Good luck to all who wear it. I always wear a PSD when I'm in my kayak. I got it in red so I can be seen. I wish they had it in yellow or orange.

I have used this vest twice for Kayaking. I hardly notice I am wearing it. I am 5 10 and about 185 lbs and the vest is the universal size. I think these would have a good range of adjustment for those intending to use them as general boating vests. I have not been in the water with the vest so cannot attest to how well it will keep me afloat. I am relying on its Coast Guard certification for that. This is a very basic vest and I am definitely happy with it.

Ordered this because of color. Others are fine for boating but for hunting or fishing they are too bright.

For the price this is a good jacket to have. It is a bit bulky feeling. However, we keep it on our kayak when we go out and I feel good about its durability if and when we would need it.

Good product. The jacket fits well. I have had fancier jackets with pockets, zippers and designer labels and colors but this one serves me just as well at 70 % less.

Purchased to Kayak. I am 6'2" with a 43' chest and no gut. Fits snug as straps do close but bind on floatation material of each breast piece as they collide. In essence the floatation material is probably to volumous or cut in a manner that indicates a more thought through design is possible. But I believe it will work fine. I have not yet taken it in the water.

I wouldn't consider this a "universal" vest. I ordered online as a gift, and when it came in the mail, the tag very clearly says "boating" life jacket. I bought it with the intent to kayak. While I'm sure it's great for boating, it was not what I was looking for with any sort of repeated arm movement. Arms will rub against the vest and it will be uncomfortable. To just sit in, it would be fine. It's lightweight and looks very nice. Clasps are solid and it secures together well.

A little chocking feeling around the neck while in the water. But it does it's job.

I prefer mesh shoulders in a life vest. I didn't look at the product carefully before ordering and it is not what i want. Also, I'm having trouble returning the items. Instructions are to email the seller and they will advise as they are not actually from Walmart. Have not heard from them yet on how to return. Hope i don't get stuck with them!!!

I'm 5' 10" and 175 lbs. and this vest fits me like a kids life jacket. Its not a universal adult as it states on the inside.
