I mainly bought this as I have my partner my old Arctic 7X headset from around 2020, and it was an excuse for an upgrade.
It's a good headset in its own rights, and it is more comfortable than the previous one with the Velcro strap, so that's nice. I haven't noticed any meaningful difference with the audio or mic quality, but I am more of a casual gamer so it's not an issue. The reason for the 4 star is with the unintuitive on/off button and sounds. The headset was supposed to come paired, but wasn't, and it took a while to re-pair it as the instructions aren't super clear. If your manual says “hold for 3 seconds” yet the headset makes a noise after 1 and 10 seconds, maybe tweak the instructions? Also it's really not clear when I've turned the headset off or on, the noise sounds identical. On the previous one, the pitch went up for on, and down for off, which is quite standard and makes sense.
The Bluetooth feature is nice for pairing with a phone/tablet without needing the cable, and I like that the mic now fully retracts into the headset, the previous version poked out a bit.
I was surprised how expensive it was, But maybe that's just how much headsets cost nowadays
