I love to cook and needed a small, trash can to collect all the food scraps while I cook. I like that it's a sturdy, and holds about a gallon and a half (so it's not too small) and that the lid stays open for easy filling. But, once I started using it in the kitchen, I thought how useful this would be for other things. The nice handle and clip that holds the plastic bags, makes it great for carrying a few hand tools when heading out to the garden. I might even get one to carry a few cleaning products from room to room. The more I use it, the more ideas I think of for this little caddy. I just might get one for my car to hold the trash! Yes, I would recommend getting one ... or many more!

At a little over a pound the The Step n' Sort Scrap Saver can hold an incredible amount of compost. I had garlic peel, chicken trimmings, steak trimmings, onion peel, kale lettuce trimmings and red leaf lettuce trimmings in it for 2 days and there was not even a hint of odor emitting from it. Usually I had to change the trash bag the same day for because the odor of the trimmings would start to emit rancid odor but the The Step n' Sort Scrap Saver gave no indication of any odor at all. Also I live on the water and after cleaning it out I decided to put a couple of beers in there and bring it into the back. No ice or anything to keep the beer cold and just the fact I snapped the lid the beer stayed cold for almost 45 minutes. The great part was the easy to carry handle and the design of the lock which keeps the lid tight. All around it is a very versatile unit which will get a lot of use in, and out, of the kitchen. At a little over a pound it is the perfect compost, so content builds up quickly to eliminate and the works just as well to insulate for soda, beer or whatever your imagination can cook up. I am thoroughly satisfied, and impressed with this product and highly recommend it.

I line it with a 4 gal bag. Makes it easier to clean. I put it next to my stove and chopping area. Veggie ends, egg shells, fatty parts of the meat we don't eat and old coffee grinds It's super convenient. My daughter wants isn't feeling the beige, so she wants to spray paint it. I told her to get creative with it and it will look amazing no matter what she does. (Knowing it will start coming off very soon.

I am a preschool teacher and this is a great portable container to take outside to deposit daily trash into without having to run inside and outside every time I need to throw something small away (think tissues and hand-wipes). The can is sturdy and easy to sanitize. I also use it on picnics, soccer games and in my car. I love the handle and the easy to close cover

I wasn't sure if I liked it at first because it wasn't as "cute" as the one I was replacing but after using it for a couple days I love it. So much easier to use, lid stays up if needed for easier use, easy to clean and holds much more than my prior container. Very happy with this product!

it will be very handy. there are a lot of things i can use it for. it is a good size. i can take it camping. I will use it inthe pantry. the kids can even use it for things

It's very compact and fits nicely under our sink. I love this having a top to keep smells contained. The handle could be a little bit sturdier but I think it'll be ok. I would absolutely recommend this caddy.

I thought it would be bigger and useful but it's to small-Gojng to use it instead for when I have guests for an outdoor barbecue to put the plastic cutlery-Definitely will work great for that-though I'm sure some will find it handy for food scraps
