I bought this gender neutral (yay!) kitchen set for the playroom in my house. I have two more grandchildren coming soon, one of which is a girl. It is the perfect size for toddlers. One pot makes a boiling sound and the other make a frying sound. There is I light that flickers under the pot for a flame. He loves getting food out of the cabinets. The salt and pepper make grinding noises. The little keureg coffee maker with the coffee pods is precious! The doors to the oven and frig are perfect for toddler hands. The only thing that that I wish it would have had was pre-drilled holes for the screws. It was perfect for my needs.
Our 16 month old loves his kitchen! This was his favorite Christmas present. He plays with everything and is entertained every day, cooking up something new. I really like how the stove burner lights up and makes different sizzles between the pot and pan. The little animal food/water station is fun too. This is a great size, small enough to not be too obtrusive yet contains enough to keep our guy happy - a major hit at our house!
No complaints other than I was hoping for a few more buttons and sounds. There is only one sound for my son to play with. Otherwise, this is a great kitchen. Easy to put together, durable, and is well used. Not too big, not too small. And cute! Would buy again.
I bought this kitchen for my 2 year old grandson for Christmas. He absolutely loves it and plays with it daily. It's the perfect size and has enough options for the price. I purchased food seperately for the kitchen and now he has become a gourmet chef!!
Our granddaughter loves this modern kitchen design. She's a bit younger than the recommended age, but is fascinated by everything about this. And she's able to entertain herself for hours, with us just keeping a watchful eye. Of course, it's even more fun to join her in pretending! She'll grow into this in no time, and will be able to enjoy this for many years to come.
Our 3yo loves this thing. The cooking noises vary realistically when he turns the dials on the stove top, so it sounds a lot like when one of us grown-ups is cooking. It comes with some play cooking utensils, which is great, and a pretend k-cup brewer. If you want your kid to dive right in to playing, though, I'd recommend you have some other play food handy, too.
Kitchen was relatively easy to assemble with only a screwdriver. But I do recommend two people to ensure all parts are aligned correctly. The kitchen is fairly sturdy once assembled, though does rock a bit when my daughter forcefully pulls the faucet back and forth to "clean" the dishes. One odd "Cons" of this product is that there is no place to put the included "Dish/Saucer." All other items fit nicely, but this one item has no real place to go at cleanup time. Some other sets have insets or bigger storage for this type of thing. The product has features such as a spring-loaded faucet handle in the sink. Transparent "Glass" doors on the right/left upper cabinets with room to place a few toy items. The included ketchup and mustard are pretty good toy food fare (though surprisingly required assembly!) The salt and pepper shakers aren't anything special, though they do make a clicking sound when turned as if they are grinding salt or pepper. There is storage under the sink which holds a bin of items included, and a small "pet bed" with a decal of water/food. The refrigerator also has storage, as well as the oven. The toy coffee pod maker was the hardest thing to assemble since the directions weren't clear, and we weren't fond of the idea of teaching our daughter about such single-use type items, though she enjoys playing with it. The stove dials make clicking sounds when turned. The stove top has two little buttons within the circular grooves of the burner that activate either a frying or boiling sound when the appropriate frying pan or pot (works only with included products, unless somehow modified to work with this set) that makes sounds and lights up like flames as well. Requires 2x AA batteries for this. My daughter had a hard time understanding how to make the burner work until I showed her the buttons within the grooves, so I'm not sure how younger children might figure out that aspect. Much of the aesthetic of this set is in decals, which I'm not too fond of. We left the stove decal off because it looked too cheap. It is of a dish of macaroni and cheese and looked washed out. We also ended up replacing some of the plastic accessories with kid-safe stainless steel replacements from another company to up the aesthetic value. The biggest thing is that the price was modest for this type of set around Christmas and my daughter loves to play with it.
Its nice and sturdy. Our 2 and 4 year olds enjoy playing in this kitchen. It has necessary accessories ! We had been looking for a kitchen set for quite some time and at all available options in the market. This is yhe best so far that we found for the price.
Bought for a Christmas gift, my mom and I put it together. 2 of the structure pieces were bent but didn’t affect it going together, just looks a little wonky from certain angles. It was also missing some decals. Once it was together we were pleased and my son loves it!
The kitchen goes together pretty easy and the instructions are easy to follow. As for the kitchen itself, it is pretty small. We had one before this one and it was MUCH better quality. The plastic seems thinner, the overall things are much smaller. I knew the dimensions when I ordered it but I figured the items would be a better size proportion to the overall kitchen. The first picture shows the top of the kitchen and my hand. I have very small hands and that's shows how big the top really is. The second picture shows where the play dog is supposed to sit. Again that's my small hand and it hard fits in the space. When my kids put their small stuffed dog in there it hangs out like it going to fall out. I just found that the Step 2 quality was not there with this item.
