Sterilite 13 gal Touchtop Wastebasket, White

This was given to me about 8 or 9yrs ago as a Christmas present for my new apartment. I still have it, however yesterday the lid slipped out of my hand and it broke, hoping I can order another lid.

For the price, the lid works.

The plastic parts in the catch, both upper and lower, have broken....The "T" spearpoint part snaped off, and the catch wing onnthe keft side slowly sheared at the hingpoint making the whole thin unservicable to hold the lid down against spring pressure. I looked for replacement parts and could find none...

This Sterlite Wastebasket would be perfect except for the 'touch top' lid. It simply will not stay closed! No need to touch the latch because it opens with the slightest movement nearby. I ordered this basket to replace a similar one that I had to tape shut. I'll probably have to tape this one too, to keep it closed. I'm very disappointed as I usually have very good luck with Sterlite products.

The 13 gal is a perfect kitchen size; however, the lids don't latch properly. They don't stay closed. I am returning to WM

It said it fits. They're all 30 gallon garbage bags no it does not. The top is too wide for the bags the bags rip every time no matter what brand.

The lid stopped staying shut. It would randomly open. Top of lid got very dirty quickly due hitting the button with dirty/wet hands
