Sterilite 13 Gallon Trash Can, Plastic Swing Top Kitchen Trash Can, Red

I usually don't do reviews, but I am making an exception. This trashcan exceeded my expectations. I do read others' reviews and I always taken into consideration of the good and the bad before deciding to either purchase or not. I am so glad I purchased this trashcan. You won't be disappointed.

I ordered the red-colored trash can. The way that the lid swings is very smooth, and I found that the only reason it may get stuck open is if something is blocking its way shut. The red color is really bright and deep...perfect for my apple-themed kitchen. Great price. I ordered this online, and it came in the most ridiculously large box, packed in brown paper. I mean, I'm all for a good packing job so things don't arrive damaged, but this was complete overkill. I thought to myself after opening it, "Walmart is singlehandedly destroying our forests lol."

Perfect size for the kitchen, the red matches my color perfectly. The swing door is an excellent touch especially when cooking no mess easy clean up

This was a perfect fit for our kitchen and I just love the pop of color!! It is sturdy and easy to clean.

I have a trash can that is just a little too big for the 13 gal bags. It's always a struggle to take the bag out and replace. I hoped this would be better. It isn't but it's a nice trash can.

l loved the fact that a red trash container was available --I'd been wanting one for two years, but as there are several Walmarts near me, I was happy to pick it up rather than pay shipping. the Walmart app showed it was available at a nearby store, si I drove there and went to tbe aisle indicated. No red trash can. I asked for a manager,who appoligized but said he only had red at Christmas and there was definitely not one available. He said that if I asked for one to be delivered, it would not be, because there were none. so i ordered one delivered. since the guy was certain there were no red trash cans. However, Walmart DID have one and delivered it for $6.99. I resent the fact that your inventory system is so flawed that you had me wasting gas for no reason. i felt like Walmart had maneuvered me into paying shipping charges

It's pretty good. I only chose it 'cause it was red plus it was a good price, and on top of that it was like on same day shipping at the time. It's perfect in most respects. Nice %26 sturdy as a plastic trash can should be. My only draw back is the push-in top lid thingy. I mean it's pretty easy to see why that wouldbe an issue. Y'know, getting food on the door as you go to push it in. Plus when it gets just about full but still some room in the bag, you gotta take the whole top off anyway or it willbe blocked by trash so you can't open it .... However, I knew all this when I picked it out, but.... just could NOT resist the fact that it was RED! So yeah, I'm really happy with it, %26 the price is great!

The lid was very hard to get attached. I was about ready to return the item when all at once it went into place and so far has stayed

I purchased the trash can in bright red and was happy to find the color was exactly what I was expecting. However, the lid doesn't actually attach to the can, it just rests on the top. So if the can gets knocked over everything will spill out. That is not what I was expecting. What is the purpose of a trash can without a tight fitting lid? Quite disappointing. If I had the ability to get to the store to return it, I would. Unfortunately, I had it shipped because I cannot get to the store.
