Sterilite 18 Gallon Tote Box Plastic, Ultramarine, Set of 8

These bins were bought to replace the sea of boxes we have each time we move. I wanted something sturdy and stackable and these fit the bill, and the price was right too. The lids are what is to be expected from a snap on lid; they do pop off if the tote is overstuffed. However, they do stay in place if used properly. So the lids could be an issue for some, but for us the lids are taped shut or the entire tote is wrapped each time we move. So the lids are not much of an issue for us. The totes themselves are perfect for protecting those personal items you dont want damaged in a move.

I have the old type of Sterilite 18 Gal. Plastic Tote Box, Titanium and the new ones are a little bit lighter/smaller also more squared so the stack up pretty good. I love both kinds.

These storage bins are a good size for out of season clothing, bedding and various items for storage. Not so big that they can't be lifted and not too small as to not hold a substantial amount of items. The tops fit securely and the bins stack nicely. I found the 6 pack offered a good value, even though I didn't need that many...it's nice to have a bin or two in reserve for the future.

The Tubs were the perfect size and wilk be great for storage. The problem was with the Fed Ex shipping. Box was definitely dropped smashed on one end and the first 3 bins were damaged, not broken but had been smashed in. Corners were discolored from the stress of being indented.

I want to reorganize my basement and thought buying bulk totes would be a great idea. The totes are a good size and arrived quickly but they're hot pink instead of the dark blue I ordered. Even the packaging is clearly marked with the color it contains. Returning anything is a pain and I don't want to wait even longer for the correct color.

The totes are in great condition and are exactly what I expected. The only thing that I have to complain about is that is says in the description there are 8 totes and I only received 6. Side note, they have a disclaimer that says they are not responsible for what's inside so I don't get my other two totes.

Plastic is too brittle for practical use! Box cracked under the weight of 2 afghans. I picked it up by one end only as I have done with Rubbermaid and other brands for YEARS and there was a 'crack' sound and the box was cracked. Spend more, even Much more and get a good brand name like Rubbermaid that will serve you for many years , not breaking at first use under 10 pounds of afghans!

THE NEW DESIGN IS ABSOLUTELY AWFUL AND INFERIOR!!!! STERILITE RUINED A GOOD PRODUCT. I have been using sterilite 18-gal totes EXCLUSIVELY FOR 18 YEARS now. Their totes have always been amazingly durable, and I still use the same totes 18 years later. But now they have apparently decided to cut costs, and are now making CHEAP totes with a much thinner, flimsy plastic. The new totes cannot hold as much weight or be stacked upon, as heavily as the original totes, without cracking and breaking. The upper rim of the totes and the lids are an especially weak point. Every single tote in the eight-pack I purchased has cracked on either the lip or the lid. I WILL NEVER BUY STERILITE TOTES AGAIN DUE TO THIS CHEAP, INFERIOR REDESIGN. BOO, HISS TO STERILITE FOR RUINING A PERFECTLY GOOD PRODUCT!!!! Save yourself the money and headache, and buy Rubbermaid.

I ordered grey tote boxes(titanium) the 1st delivery came without lids. Initially, Walmart wanted me to carry the box back to the post ofc (~ 24" H X ~ 30" W). This would not fit into my car. Plus it's heavy. It took 4-5 phone calls to Walmart customer service to rectify the situation. Then I received yesterday, 6 tote boxes with lids. One of the boxes was chipped on the top edge. Also, the boxes are clear plastic. Clearly more fragile than the titanium-colored ones, hence the broken one on arrival yesterday. The titanium ones are sturdier. I was ready to stop shopping there before yesterday. I refuse to call them back (and play phone games again) and the delivery yesterday solidified my decision. It's your loss Walmart. There are plenty of other merchants that deliver.
