I purchased a set of 10 Rubbermaid shoe box's online at the Walmart website. They sell for less than $22.00. I then noticed this brands blue shoebox's but I was not interested in the blue and wanted the clear. Finally, I saw these clear shoebox's with white lids but sold out online. Today, at the local Walmart, I purchased 25 of these for $0.88 each. If you do the math, you know that there is only about .30 cents difference. The good thing about buying them locally, I could look thru them, and know none was damaged. For comparison, the Rubbermaid are wider but shorter whereas the Sterilite is longer but more narrow. In the Rubbermaid, I can place two pairs of shoes in one, depending on the shoe size and bulkiness. In the Sterilite, I had to fandangle the shotes a bit to get them to fit. The Rubbermaid stack better and they also snap close better. Now for some TIPS: Shoes, especially leather shoes, need to breath. That's why you see most shoes you buy in shoe box's, with some ventilation and even silicon packs. Therefore, for leather shoes you don't wear often, you might want to either punch some holes in the lid or simply remove the lid from time to time. ALSO when transferring your shoes to plastic box's, save the silicon packets and the tissue paper. You can place the tissue paper in the plastic box to help protect it and the shoes, along with the silicon packet. NEVER put wet shoes in a plastic box....make sure they are dry first or they will probably mold or worse. I'm glad I purchased a set of the Rubbermaid box's but since it's just shoes, Sterilite is getting my vote due to the huge difference in price.
If you do Operation Christmas Child - these are great boxes. They're strong. I've worked in the Dallas Processing Center, and I never saw one in the "Hospital." They don't shatter. For a nice effect, line with a color bandana! I lay my inserts on the bottom of the box to be seen.
These were on sale for 88¢ (a few months ago) so I grabbed all the 6 that I found. I store my kitchen things in them and put the boxes in a closet. Since I have a small kitchen, I don’t have extra drawers and cabinets for storing kitchen things that I use occasionally like hand mixer, pizza cutter, pie scooper, can cutter, etc. This has been a great organization hack.
Great! I used these to organize my kids toys and stuff in their closet. It was becoming too much! I labeled the front of these with what was inside each and they are perfect size and looks so much more organized! Now my kids do not need to make a huge mess trying to look for something. They look at the label and grab what they need out of it and put the container back! Works great!
These boxes won't fit most men's shoes, but this was perfect for my wife's various heels, sandals, and sneakers. This is a great alternative to a shoe rack, since the boxes both contain and protect each pair of shoes. Note: If you try to stack more than 4 boxes at a time, they get very wobbly.
These are high quality shoe storage containers. They resolved a big project I had with storage shelves that were made too high for shoes. A carpenter quoted a cost of hundreds of dollars to add four more shelves between the existing ones. To my surprise, I was able to stack three units in each space. Very happy with this solution.
You're definitely getting a bang for your buck with these. Theyre great for oraganizing and a lot more sturdy than the DollarStore's. However, they are a lot more warped than the DollarStore. If you're going to purchase these, you may want to spend the extra time making sure all the lids snap on. I have about 6/10 bins that do not snap tight with the lid because the bin's lip is warped.
these are excellent for organizing. they are the perfect size to put cosmetics, or Legos, or stationary in them, the possibilities are endless. they are clear which make it really easy to see whats in them and they stack perfectly fine for easy storage. I do not like how easily they break. they came in a multi pack and 5 out of the 10 in one of the packs were broken. they seem to be the most fragile on the lip where the lid goes on, just broke apart in several pieces which rendered them useless. they would be perfect if they weren't so flimsy.
Purchased online for home delivery and received all damaged. I don't understand how you can pick up something for delivery and not see it. Almost all of them were broken. I will say that I have purchased these before and they worked great for storing my shoes and some small loose items. But I had them shipped overnight previously. I don't know what happened this time with the same-day delivery service.
Just received these today after organizing everything. I thought I received 2 extra lids ....come to find out i missing 2 of the clear containers the lids go to. Even after going back through making sure none were double stacked...sure enough 2 clear containers are missing . Count before you use them!!
