Exactly what we needed for our RV. This size trash can, with a swinging lid, is impossible to find. The lid is designed to close slowly, instead of swinging back quickly, so your hand doesn't get smacked by the lid after you drop something in the can. A very surprising feature, and very nice! The price is pretty high for a plastic trash can, but I was delighted to find it, because Walmart was the only place I could find it. It's on Amazon, but it's sold in packs of six! So I was glad to find it on Walmart. Perfect size for an RV, and a great design.

It was very expensive because i only wanted one . Can be bought other places by bulk for less. However it arrived in perfect condition and the lid actually opens and closes like it supposed too.

I love that it has a lid as I often knocked things off the shelves and they would fall in my old basket. This lid locks open so If I have a lot of stuff or food prep to put in the can you don't have to keep pushing the lid open. wipes clean

We use this at the end of our island, tucks perfectly into that space. Fits traditional kitchen trash bags. What I love the most though is the lid! Perfect size for the kitchen. I really like the swing top, which can easily lock into place so you can put in the garbage. Although it's a cinch to wipe down and keep clean, I use a small trash bag in it. Anchor it under the lid. I received this product as part of a My-Take research study.

I've been happy with the 7.8 Gal SwingTop Wastebasket. My favorite feature is the SwingTop lid. It swings freely, hands-free, and returns to the closed position without any issue. I can manually flip it open from the rear if necessary. The wastebasket can be used in just about any location because it's compact. It's easy to clean both inside and out. This midsize trash can is designed well. Bags stay in place when placed between the rim and the lid, and the lid swings down from the front easily, making it perfect to place against a wall or cabinet. Smaller than a regular kitchen trash can, it worked out great next to my desk. Holds a fair amount of trash that the swingtop lid keeps out of sight for a tidier looking room. I am considering getting another to use to gather recycling in the kitchen to keep it off my counters before it gets taken out to the bins. The locking lid worked great and if I end up using this for kitchen trash, I like that I can lock it open while I am preparing food and I don't have to get the top all dirty. I really like this Swing-Top Wastebasket, and appreciate that it doesn't take up a lot of space, is easy to use (and begin to take for granted!), and is easy to keep clean/wipe down to clean. I never had a swing-top wastebasket before, so I'm kind of amazed at how this wastebasket is constructed, is easy to set up, and is functional! I love that the lid just sets into place, and that the bin holds a liner that can be hidden by the wide mouth of the lid. The top swings easily; but I took off 1-star for the pressure it takes to "lock" the swing top in place (for larger items)..it took more push than I expected, but is easy to "lock" vertically and "unlock" to resting. For me, the swing-top never went back flush after locking, and is slightly ajar/open now. It's not an issue for my household, but I *did* expect the lid to swing back completely closed. I use mine for collecting recycling in my kitchen; and I'd buy more of this same style for various uses around the house! *I received this product as part of a My-Take research study.*
