Sterilite Kitchen Trash Can, 13 Gallon Plastic Garbage Bin with Swing Top Lid, Black

I was looking for 2 trash cans, one for recycling and one for normal trash. I looked at several stores and did not like any of them. Decided to try Walmart online and saw these. They were priced together and were very reasonable. Used the delivery service. Received notifications and delivery was faster than first expected. The trash cans look nice in my kitchen with grey cabinets. They are side by side and look clean and are of good quality. Easy to put trash or recycling in each one and the lid closes back easily. My previous trash cans were supposed to be the same size as these, but held less than these due to the way they are designed. I'm very glad I found these. I had originally thought I was going to have to get white because the color selection was limited. Walmart was the only place that had grey and I don't like the stainless steel cans.

I needed to replace the older model. After years of fitting the plastic bags over the lip of the can. That finally came apart ( 10 years use). Time for a new trash can. This newer one is more rectangular design vs oval. The other had a rounded cover that the dog likes to nose into. This newer one has a more flat type of cover that has the opening mostly on one side and not both. Makes it more difficult for the dog to get into it! (Had to mention that because is and issue in my home). So I can face the opening side more towards the wall and the dog can not get into is easily. Because the access from the other side is more restricted. If you can figure that out. As for the tall kitchen trash bags they are a little easier to put on with this more rectangular shape then the old oval one.

It is a TALL kitchen trash can. The regular (generic) 13 gallon kitchen trash bags are too short, but the more expense "TALL 13-gal kitchen bags" seem okay. I opted for the gray color; (in the past) the white seemed to stain from near misses as food scraps made they way into the container.

Sterilite makes sturdy products. These cans are no exception. We are using them as collection bins for our church's clothes closet. The 13-gallon size is great , so the clothes bags don't get too heavy. Ordering online and picking them up at my local Walmart saved a lot of money. Good product.

This trash can is everything anyone could ever want in a kitchen trash can. I already have the same exact one in my kitchen and it proved to be so impressive, that I decided to buy another to put in my bathroom since 'bathroom trash cans' never seem to be large enough and it feels as if you're changing them all the time.

This can is great. the swing lid works just fine. The can is on the larger side, which is what I wanted. We all know that some are larger than others. I have some quality 13 gallon bags, and they fit this can perfectly. We tried some cheaper 13 gallon bags, and the can is too big for them. As they are stretched over the rim, they do not touch the bottom. Avoid cheap bags with this great can.

These are great! I got 2 of them. One for recycling and one for dry trash. I know we all use trash bags, but the reason I recommend for dry trash and *clean* recyclables is because of the swing door on the lid. I use a different type of trash can for regular kitchen garbage. One that has a tighter-sealing lid and a step open function. But I highly recommend this one.

Lovely grey color and cheapest waste basket of them all!!! Guess that's saying something when seeing 👀 $100.00 trash cans for the first time in my life!!?? On something that once sold closer to $10 %26 $25?! Before I spend that kind of money to hold my garbage %26 trash I'm going to use a cardboard box 📦 or any kind of sack! ENOUGH ALREADY

I use to buy the rolltop lid, which I can't find anymore. The roll top lid was wonderful. This lid is very inconvenient, it will not let me put the garbage in the can without the lid scraping into the garbage in the can and when you push the lid down (which scrapes into the garbage) the back of the lid scrapes the underside of the counter. The lid does not close completely and so there is a smell. I will never buy this style lid again. What happened to the roll top lids??

Its a trash can... I like Steralite because it's durable and easy to clean. However purchasing this was a catastrophe! I ordered a black trashcan originally and got the 13 gal can with a 8 gal Mainstay top... tried to exchange it online but was a hassle they ended up crediting me so I bought another black 13gal (I know, I know)and sure enough I got a 13gal Mainstays can this time and a different model 13gal Steralite top! Again asked to return and because I had signed up for the trial of their program they actually came to me and returned it. So I ordered again but a grey one thinking they can't screw this up there's no Walmart version, lol, and they delivered after the 3rd order my 13gal grey trash can with the lid... amazing. I like the swing top, the color isn't what I wanted but isn't bad, I'm sure it will last and I wish I could give it a better rating but Walmart has to do better 1st!
