Sterling by Music Man StingRay Ray5 Maple Fingerboard 5-String Electric Bass Mint Green

I've been a EBMM user since about 2004, so I'm very familiar with the brand. The Sterling's are no slouch at all! This bass plays really well. I'm one of those players who has to have my bass setup a certain way — I play hard with my right hand, so my action has to be properly setup. That being said, the bass came setup pretty well for most players. I had to adjust my neck relief, my string height and pickup height — but I have to do that even with my EBMM basses. I originally ordered the Chopper Blue bass, but I received a black bass. I was prepared to return it, but after playing it and feeling the neck, I decided to keep it. The neck on this black SBMM Ray5 is fantastic! Ha! I highly recommend these SBMM basses. I'm already in the middle of upgrading the pickup, bridge, nut and preamp on this one because for about $500 you end up with a boutique bass that is equal, if not better than a Ernie Ball Music Man. I absolutely love these basses. Buy one — you won't be disappointed!
