Heavy and works well. Goes farther than you would expect. I didn't cover 100% of the areas, closer to 60% and it made a huge difference.
I added this to my doors and floor of my vehicle and it did a fantastic job of making the majority of my road noise go away.
Deadener is not a sound blocker, so dont expect it to make your tin can sound like a Rolls Royce. It will however make that rattle trap become as close to rattle free as possible. This deadener is great because it is a good thickness and has a thick aluminum skin with rubber based adhesive (not roofing tar). You absolutely need to use a quality roller to apply this stuff, along with good leather gloves and a lot of razor blades. Heat gun will make life a lot easier when trying to install this stuff. 36sqft is a lot too, enough for me to cover 4 doors and a large portion of my trunk. Not full coverage in the doors, but close enough. I lined the inside of the door frame (backside of painted sheet metal) and all over the door where the door panel mounts. This got rid of a LOT of the vibrations my car had, now I just need to fix the plastic panels vibrating. The deadener also brought out a lot more of the lower end bass in all of my speakers, and really brought out the midbass. A large amount of work to install, but totally worth the hassles and this price makes it an even better deal!
Great sound barrier.
I have bought 2 of these for my 2007 Ford f250. Installed on every piece of metal inside my truck, makes a huge difference in the noise reduction. Going to install inside the truck doors also. Great product! Sticks well, easy to install, no odor.
This stuff isn't bad, it has a slight odor but not horrible. You really need a heat gun and a roller to make a nice clean install. Makes a huge dif on the road noise so far, I will update on the quality once my 4 18 wall is in and pumping. Wear gloves on the install bc i cut the living hell out of my hands handling this stuff, I also doubled up throughout for added deadening. You cant beat the cost.
Overall good product and reasonably priced here. The effect is noticeable, but be prepared not to be impressed. I covered the trunk to eliminate exhaust drones and all the rear end noises. The effect is not going to be absolutely silent, to illustrate I used turn the volume to highest in order to hear anything, now it's to high medium. So it helps to some extend but not as I expected. Yr/make/model of the car installed on: 2006 s2000, stock with minor exhaust mod.
