The boys had a lot of fun with this
Bought this for our 5 year old grandson. He loved it and we liked the fact that other kids could play along too!
My son has receive many different types of rocks of the last couple of years and these are the best. Large Rockets are some what weight but launch very high. Only problem we have is the launch pad itself isn't the greatest design but works. Pad is cheaply made and fall apart a lot, (nothing that zip ties or duct tape can't fix.)
This product was a present for my six year old grandson. Once he figured out what it was and how to use it, he was launching the foam rockets all over the house. He used the Stomp launcher and the small hand launcher to fire the fire the rockets at his sisters, Mom & Dad, dog and fireplace. We set up a target from another toy and he used that for a few minutes but got bored and threw it down. I don't expect the light duty launch pad to hold up very long outdoors. Plan on building a rugged, adjustable launcher for heavy use. A horizontal or vertical wire system can be used if space is limited. I would recommend this product for an older child that can appreciate the engineering and physics involved. It can be used as a learning tool for Action-Reaction demonstrations, PV=NRT, F=PA, the effects of wind drift and parabolic flight. High School age students can use the parts to visualize and chart input variables against observations.
The rockets go very high, depending on how hard the kids stomp on the launching pad. The launching pad could be made better, as it always had to be reassemble. The small hand held rockets did not work the best but the kids were more interested in the large rockets.
The One thing we Had a problem with was, the launcher was too flimsy. other than that, we were satisfied [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
While the launcher itself has great blasting power the stand itself has much to be desired, The stand would fall apart with ease and wobbly to say the least. Needs much improvement in this area but overall this is a good product.
Got this for the 4th of July party. It was a big hit. The stand did come apart easily, which was the negative part. However when it stayed together, it worked well. The extra rockets are great.
This product is not very sturdy.
Horrible, save your money. Base pops apart after about 5 seconds without even touching it. I thought I might have been assembling it wrong as there are no instructions other than 3 bad pictures on the box. Tried all possible ways it could go together, nothing worked. Had to modify the legs and epoxy the base together.
