When I ordered Snore Bag, I looked forward to trying out its great selection of gadgets. Before i purchased it i shopped around and found many other anti-snore gadget online; but who really know's what's going to work for you, so this was an economical way to test them all. I wasn't disappointed! I learned that the mouthpiece and surprisingly the balm works well for me but that might not be the case for everybody because we all have different breathing obstructions. Comes with a helpful instruction guide.
This really worked for me. I immediately started sleeping longer and apparently more deeply. The nose plugs don't do anything for me, but the combination of the chin strap and the mouth guard, with only a slight under bite, is much more comfortable than the mouth guard alone. I think it works because it holds my mouth closed, and with the jam slightly forward, without my jaw muscles having to do the work.
I have ordered quite a few anti snoring devices in the past to avoid going the CPAP route and at last i think i found a solution! The tongue retainer is working to reduce my snoring when i use it with the headstrap. The nose things don't seem to be helping me though. I recommend reading the instructions carefully and find the solution for you. They're well written and helpful. These devices are always awkward at first and take some time getting used to. Be patient.
The first time i molded my mouth piece it was uncomfortable and i sometimes felt like gaging. So i remolded the mouthpiece and it has been working great for me. Wifey is happy now. The important thing is to remold this thing so it's comfortable for you. Dip your mouthpiece in the boiling water for 18 seconds, like the instructions say. Then position your jaw forward slightly, but push your tongue forward too! Make room for your tongue so you won't feel like gaging. You can easily spend over $100 on a fancy mouth piece but you can avoid that if you get the molding right. If you need to remold: reuse the blue spatula if you still can find the slat but if the slat has shrunk then you'll have to come up with another way to fish it out of the boling water. Get the spatula to fit or use a fork.
There are a lot of gadgets to use and that is nice! Different choices for different sleeping problems!
I gave this three stars because of the product, NOT because it worked for me. I can't give it more for the reasons following. First the good news: The price is great. the chin strap fits nicely and does what it's supposed to do. The nose plugs are comfortable and you should quickly get used to their being in your nostrils. There is a slight odor to them out of the package, but all you have to do is rinse them thoroughly under hot water and the odor goes away. But it's not an unbearable odor by any stretch. I haven't tried the mouth guard yet so I can't comment on that. Now the bad news: they don't appear to work too well (at least for me). I snore LOUD! I used a snoring app to gauge my snoring without and with the nose plugs, the strap, and I also used a nose strip on my nose. There wasn't much if any difference in my snoring. Maybe the mouth guard will help. I'll try that soon. THAT'S NOT TO SAY IT WON'T WORK FOR YOU. If you aren't as loud a snorer as I, they may work fine. So, the final word is that it's a good product for the price, but if you snore the pictures off the walls like I do, it may not work for you. But... it's not like you're paying $100.00 for it! You'll have to decide for yourself whether it's worth the money to give it a try.
no instructions provided. how cheap can you be?
Thought I would find tongue retainer helpful, but it is uncomfortable and actually impossible to use. You can't swallow your own saliva with it on. Have tried the jaw retainer, but it becomes sweaty and uncomfortable and I wasn't able to get clear feedback as to whether it made a difference.
The kit work somewhat my wife still noticed that I snored but it was a little quieter the reason why I'm giving it to Stars is because the mouthpiece leaves a bad taste in your mouth all night and a little nose pieces smell horrible and the smell does not go away
Not worth the buy. I got this for my husband, Items did not fit and were uncomfortable.
