IF I'M BY MYSELF, INSTEAD OF MAKING A LASAGNA FROM SCRATCH, I GRAB A MEAT LOVER'S STOUFFER , THEN I ADD MORE PARMESAN CHEESE AND POUR GARLIC POWDER ON IT. AS FOR THE TEXTURE, I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IT A BIT MORE AL DENTE. I LOVE THAT IT HAS A BIT OF THE HOME MADE PASTA BEFORE MAKING IT VERY ITALIAN.
This is a great Lasagna, chunks of pepperoni set it apart from all the rest, lots of meat, sauce and cheese... I add a bit of ricotta to it for more zip... Perfectly Delicious all by its self... Way to go Stouffers!!
5 star rating is in comparing to other commercial/retail lasagnas'. It's not our Grandmothers, or my wifes lasagna. But it's as good as you can buy at a groceries store.
This is one of my regular items. It is still a good quality, but the meat has changed in the last few years. It is no longer crumbled beef, but cube chunks of meat. I preferred the previous type
I love this brand and the lasagna. I've been buying for years. It's the next best thing to homemade. Im glad they have it in smaller size, but normally I buy the party size and enjoy the leftovers! Make you a salad, and get some garlic bread and you'll have a wonderful meal!
This was my first time trying the Meat Lovers Lasagna. I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised. The box describes it as Mild with 100% real mozzarella cheese, premium pepperoni and zesty Italian sausage. I heated it in the microwave following the box directions exactly. My first bite included everything they touted … sausage, pepperoni, mozzarella, noodles and sauce. It was very tasty. It was very saucy and because of that, nothing was dried out. One thing I found missing was ricotta cheese. The box does not say there is ricotta, that’s just a personal preference of mine. The next time I buy this lasagna, I will also pick up a container of ricotta to add after I heat the lasagna. Also, I find myself typically adding salt to many pre-made dishes, but it wasn’t necessary with this lasagna. It was well-seasoned, I suspect because of the sausage and pepperoni. I gave it 4 stars because as a convenient quick meal, it was excellent. Nothing compares to homemade lasagna and I missed having ricotta, so I lost a star there. I would definitely recommend this product.
For frozen food, this lasagna is very delicious, great for something quick and easy. However, I now proceed with a bit of caution. There are three of us in my household. I was buying three for us each to eat one at a meal. I noticed that, while eating it, I felt good. Afterward, I wasn't feeling so much. Now I wasn't feeling sick, no, it's just that my heart was acting funny. I checked the nution information on the package. For one person eating a whole one, the sodium content was ENORMOUS!!! I have mitral valve prolapse and my husband has high blood pressure, so consuming a whole one now is out! Now when I buy one, mind you it is quite delicious, we split it three ways! I think it could be a winner for Stouffer's to make lasagna with low sodium.😀
I love the original stuff lasagna so I thought I’d love meat lovers one, but there’s some meat in there that is quite spicy and when they mean meat lovers it really is the prep was kind of long for the amount of product you get out of it I will not personally get this again, but it would be a good option for somebody who likes spicy meat
So terrible! There was barely any cheese. It was just noodles and a cloying, thick tomato sauce with pebbles of sausage. Extremely disappointed. I will never buy this again.
Take note: If the outside of the box is crushed so is the product inside. I bought 2 and picked them up with my other groceries. Both were crushed, foil and product containers were opened and damaged. Your pickers and baggers need to be vigilant in making sure product IS NOT DAMAGED when given to the customer. I’m sure at least 3 people actually touched both of these before charging me for them and throwing them into the back of my car. Because I was unable to eat either of them I give it a ZERO RATING
