Straight Talk Prepaid Apple iPhone 5s 16GB, Space Gray

I've had this phone for 2 years and still love it. I've never been able to keep a phone functional for more than a year, let alone actually be happy with it. Until I got this iPhone. It was my first iPhone, so as a new skeptical convert, the first month or so was rough. Just a screen full of icons.... so confusing. I panicked when I wanted to make a call. How the heck do I just freakin call someone?? And where's the back button?? No menu button either?? Yeah those days where rough. But I figured it out soon enough. And in the meantime I discovered that everything else worked so well, so smoothly, so totally integrated and polished. Wow! Even two years later it still works great. So when it was time to upgrade my husband's flip phone, we got another iPhone 5S. So far he's happy with it, which says a lot - he resisted the new technology to the bitter end. Yay! Two happy converts! And the straight talk service - it works great too. Just make sure you follow the directions carefully, use the website, and be patient. Unless you're trying to pull some shady maneuver, it will go very well. One note however. Before you open the box for the phone, there's a straight talk "read me first" packet attached to the box with setup instructions. Great EXCEPT.... it says to use a paperclip to open SIM card slot. DONT. I jammed one in frustratingly to no avail, only to later find the handy little Apple designed tool inside the box - which opens the door perfectly. So unwrap everything and open the paperwork. Use the Apple tool, and skip the paperclip.

Just the right size! Easy to understand! Lots of useful pre-loaded Apps to help you get started, plus adding Apps is a "breeze"!! Also, YouTube has many helpful & easy-to-understand videos that will make your learning experience low-stress! This is my first "SmartPhone", & I'm already wondering why I waited so long to buy one! Wal-Mart on-line shopping is easy, & both my phone and protective cover arrived on-time & I damaged! THANK YOU, Wal-Mart!!!!

The product arrived on schedule and was brand new as described. As with most Apple products, the setup was very easy. My only disappointment was a single "red" instruction booklet that was contained with the product, for setting up the iPhone service. There were only a couple pages and 3 steps to follow. Sadly, the very first step had two different directions for 2 different service providers; one for Straight Talk, and one for Total Wireless. The iPhone I purchased was a Straight Talk iPhone as described in product description, so there should never have been 2 different option for service providers. My misunderstanding was that both providers were from the same company, so I mistakingly ordered service from Total Wireless by mistake. Once I realized my error, I canceled that service and had to go through a bit of a process to get Straight Talk, which again, was what the products was supposed to be for anyways. I would remove any reference to any service providers if the product is specific for one service, and avoid the confusion. Other than that, everything works perfectly.

I'd do it all over again. And that's unusual for me!!! The iPhone 5s is so much faster and easier than the older iPhone it replaced. And weighs half as much. Has many more functions, including Siri, that makes searching and directions so much easier. I'm so proud to have purchased it for less than $150. That made my decision much easier also.

I have been with Straight Talk for 3 years now. I am very pleased with the service. I travel the entire state for work and need reliable service. I have never had a problem other than the occasional dropped call which you get with any carrier. My only complaint is if you have to call them. Customer support is overseas and it is virtually impossible to understand what they're telling you. I called to confirm that I would be on Verizon towers with this phone. After asking her to repeat what she said four times and still not being able to understand, I asked to speak to someone that spoke English, waited 20 minutes for someone to come on the line, and finally gave up. That is what holds me back from giving 5 stars. Walmart needs to work on that. However, I do rate the phone 5 starts. This phone is for use with Verizon towers and you will feel like the only thing you left behind at Verizon is the huge bill.

I think this item is good for the price. The only downfall thus far with this device is that you have to press the home key down hard to get it to go back to home screen. Also, at times the screen may freeze up when trying to scroll. With this device being refurbished I already expected to possibly encounter some minor problems. Overall, I still think its good.

I wanted to downsize my phone.. it seem that every new phone a got, was just a little bit bigger... until I realized that it was no longer convenient for me. A lot of the time I don't want to have to carry a purse, but had to because my phone. I've gone back to a smaller phone and it's an IPhone. I love the quality feel of this phone, and the operated platform it uses, it's far superior to the sumsung and lg's I have previously owned.

The iPhone 5s was fine. Straight Talk service was very poor. My phone kept showing a caller id that did NOT reflect my name. Straight Talk could NOT fix the issue and acted like "everything was ok". Out of total dismay, I cancelled Straight Talk repay ($50.05) and (sadly) returned the phone to Walmart. I'm still waiting for my $50.05 credit from Straight Talk as they don't show a $50.05 payment but my bank DOES! I'm not usually a negative person but Straight Talk makes it tough to be nice!

I bought 2 of these, 1 for my wife and 1 for myself, at $149 it looked like a good deal. My wife's first phone would not activate. After talking to customer service for an hour or more they informed me the phone was not properly scanned at the store when i picked it up. I returned it for an exchange. The exchange phone activated but we could not activate voice mail and the phone would not always ring during incoming calls. After at 2 different calls to customer service totaling an additional 4 to 5 hours we took the phone to the Apple Store. They discovered a bad Sim card. My phone: the service was less than lousy, it did not ring half the time, voice quality and signal strength were poor at best. Several days later and many hours troubleshooting I returned both phones. And, this was a headache for a different story. I went back to my old phone and bought my wife a LG which, after 1 week, has worked very well.

Purchased phone from Walmart.com, but when I tried to connect-up with Straight Talk, they told me to take the phone back to Walmart and advise them that it was not a Straight Talk cell phone and to return it to local Walmart. I did this and was given another phone in exchange. But, ran into same problem as above. I do not think that Straight Talk was being truthful with me as I incurred two more cell phone exchanges and was told something similar by Straight Talk. I believe that the phone was fine, however, Straight Talk did not want me to buy the Straight Talk from Walmart. Straight Talk kept referring me to Straight Talk's web site in order to purchase a phone.
