Strathmore 12" x 18" Rough Tape Bound Newsprint Pad

Everybody in my painting workshop uses newsprint to make their initial drawings that they then turn into magnificent paintings. My paintings aren't nearly so magnificent, so CLEARLY I need to use newsprint to make better preliminary studies. What, you're an artist and you AREN'T a magical thinker?

I do a lot of Japanese print pattern making designs. This newsprint lets me do a lot of designs at a much lower cost than other kinds of paper.

Were heavy enough to hold up. No complaints. I haven't tried drawing on them.

This proves to be good newsprint for making copies of old gazettes. The price alone charged by School Specialty makes this a very agreeable product. Since my printer can print up to 13" x 19" I would prefer to be able to obtain that size from Strathmore. Until the print industry catches up to printer-making industry, I shall have to contend with the "10 hotdog package - 8 bun package" syndrome. It's proven impossible so far to purchase any paper cut to 13x19. In the mean time, I am very happy with the quality of newsprint of this product an appreciative that it comes at least in this 12x18 size. Slight con for my purposes, it is a little difficult to consistently remove/tear each sheet from the pad without causing an uneven rip where each page is glued to the pad itself.
