Strongway 8-Ton Long Ram Air/Hydraulic Jack, Single Piston, Clevis Base

Arrived just fine and so far is working perfectly. Remember to purge the air before first use.

I was very impressed with the jack it lifted way higher and faster than I expected. It is way better than the old fashioned way of doing it at just a little more than the normal ones. It would be nice if you could make one with a realease valve on box that holds the button but I like it the way it is.

This is the coolest addition to my vast collection of tools I've gotten in a long time! I no longer endlessly pump up the jack by hand. What's also great is that I can be at the engine and raise it while I have a hand on the engine guiding it. I was able to install my V-8 all by myself!

Working great so far. Mounted this cylinder on a harbor freight 2 ton engine hoist. Definitely beats hand cranking the cylinder when the hoist is fully collapsed and i need to raise the boom back up. Just hook up air and press the lever to get the boom raised up in a matter of seconds.

Like most, I needed to replace my old Ram due to age. I replaced it with this unit and couldn't be happier. I've pumped a lot of engines by hand, but now I just have to pump for precise location. I've used it to lift heavy, bulky stuff into my truck with great success, including the last dead engine I replaced. Since I'm in my 60's, I've needed to use a come along supported by the joists in my garage to lift stuff, but my engine hoist became my strong arm because of this ram.

Saw one of these on a cherry picker engine lift. Had to have one. Makes pumping the handle a million time a thing of the past. Still has the manual pumping for fine tuning. Bought another for a friend for Christmas to convert his lift. He says I give the best, most useful presents.

Bought this ram a month ago. Bolted right up to our cherry picker. Air over Hydraulic is a great feature. Unfortunately at the second use the ram started leaking oil at the base. Contacted customer service and a replacement was sent out immediately.

It pumps up slowly. It is strong.

I bought this jack to replace the manual one on my engine hoist. So far it seems to work great. It's not real fast but I don't think you want it to be, and it's a lot easier then standing there pumping away. I would have given it five stars but I haven't used it that much yet so I thought five would be a little premature.
