It works fine for light to possibly medium-duty edging work, especially for the price, but it DOES NOT have a sharp blade, so I would probably recommend sharpening it if you really want to use it a lot.

The blade bent during the first use of the tool. it bent 30 degrees at the "step-on" ear. Not sure what they chose to not carry the step all the way across, but it make the tool too weak to use in clay soil.

As the bulk of the reviews; I too thought it would work for me too, after all I'm just using it for edging my sod or cleaning up the garden area. On the very first use, my foot bent the tab and I moved it back into place just with my hand,. I am not sure what this can be used for since it bent on soft Florida soil. Unfortunately I can no longer return it but I will check to see if Northern tool will take it back on a credit. I can't believe Northern tool still sells this item.

Unfortunately this is my disappointment in the Strongway lineup and will likely not be repeating this mistake unless they find a way to beef up the head. Within 5 minutes of use, the head bent and twisted at both the tip and the step so while it may work well enough with a sandier soil it certainly doesn't have the strength to handle our Tennessee clay soil. Hopefully it works better down south.

It's flimsy. The metal end started rolling and bending about 30 minutes into using in wet ground
