Studio Decor Gold Belmont Float Frame

A real value for a quality made frame.

I love this frame. It's more beautiful than it was pictured in the advertisement. It was a great price too!

Solid finish,floats transparency

I first bought 1 of these frames to put a picture of my newly rescued cat in it. The frame is very well made and light - so it will hang on a 3M picture hook. I liked the frame so much I went back and bought 3 more to put pictures in and hang them up!

Quality was 'okay' for the purposes of a 4 over 4 botanical print display in a bathroom. But there were imperfections on the actual frames/plastic with some sort of coating to make it look 'gold.' But, hey— 2 for 1 pricing suited my budget and purpose in staging a house for sale. Thank you. The team at the Charlottesville Michael's were very helpful and knowledgeable about returns.

These are pretty and look really great considering how affordable they are (I got them on sale). They are quite light, (I'm holding them up with small to medium command strips), because they have a thin sheet of acrylic that is kind of flimsy. However, of the 8 that I ordered, one did come broken. I think I will have to ask for a replacement for that one. Since I barely moved them, I presume that they might be slightly fragile.

I have worked with many floating frames and I really enjoy this company. I have about 5 frames from them in various colors. They're lightweight and I love the shine of the gold frame. I'm giving 4 stars because the shiniest of the gold frames is so eye catching, it sometimes takes away from the object being featured.

The little prongs are hard to open and I didn't want to use a tool for fear of scratching the plastic panel

While the concept of this frame is great, it doesn't exert enough pressure to hold pictures centered unless you mount them to the back plate. (We tapped it to the back piece.) Its lovely to look at, and would probably do fine with a matt, but as a floating frame you'll need to make sure to plan on mounting your piece to the back plastic.

Extremely cheap construction. Beware: There is NO glass and the plexiglass/plastic included is very thin and easily scratches. The frame construction is also very light weight…..another concern if you intend to use them in a high traffic area (e.g. they will easily fall off a nail if accidentally bumped).
