These are inexpensive but not cheap. They work well and have brought my knives back to sharpness. The inclusion of the flattening silicon carbide block to retrue the surface ensures a flat workface every time. It does take a minute to develop the right angle when bringing the knife to the stone, but with time, I got really good results.

No instructions. But, many YouTube videos out there to instruct how to best use it. Works great! I do wish the box was sturdier though. It (box only) got damaged in shipping and It is not easy to put everything back into the box for storage between uses.

Very nice sharping set! I was able to correct the bevel and bring a thick 8 inch blade to a razors edge! Then I sharpened every knife in the kitchen. The stones still show absolutely no wear. Looks like this will be good for years to come.

You get 3 whetstones, 2 are water stones one is an oil stone along with a lot of useful accessories. Useful and even need by anyone that needs to re-sharpen any kind of knife (not serrated) from time to time.

I'm actually pretty impressed with this kit, especially considering the low price. The one negative is the leather strop isn't worth bothering with. It's not a big deal though and I've got my own leather stropping board. Keep in mind that the higher grit stones are softer and more easily can lose their truly flat surface. You'll need to reflatten these ceramic stones on the regular but I have definitely gotten my hand plane irons and chisels extremely sharp with this kit.

Very nice set for the money. Go to the dollar store and buy that rubber like,grippy shelf liner. The base of the Holder is a plastic like rubber and slides on any surface while sharpening. The deburring strop is kinda a toy,I use an old belt. I am guilty of the lifetime knifes advertising and first day restored a dozen knifes to better than new, chisels and kitchen shears. This kit already paid for itself.

I really love this set and for what it cost was well worth it! But where are the instructions? It didn't come with any or what some of the things are used for and what purpose they serve in sharpening a knife. I know how to use the stones but that is pretty much it. I had to use google to figure out what grit to use and what purpose each grit was for when sharpening knives

There were no directions and I had to watch a lot of you tube videos (still watching). The clamp is not big enough, but if you use a wet cloth under it you can keep it from slipping. I am still trying to figure out how to use all of the components. That being said, the actual sharpening stones are excellent. I like sharp knifes and this is a fun hobby.

I got this item for a Father's Day gift, the shipping said (next day) when it never showed up I realized the date kept changing. I waited almost a week. When it was opened, we realized there was absolutely no instructions, no card to identify each item or any paperwork on how to assemble or even use anything in the box. There is nothing in the package with any type of information on who this item is sold by, how to contact, or how to begin using. We have tried searching the web and YouTube and have yet to find anything. The description surely does make this seem like it's an easy item to use or learn to use with ease. The stones are very confusing on which one does what and how to even get good results. Just beyond Confusing. Frustrating that there is nothing to explain how to work all these items.
