Hose Repair Kit PQR: Good It is pricey, but high quality. IN THE BOX: One female and one male fitting. Three extra O-rings. Simple and clear instructions. QUALITY: Very Good! It's heavy! Each fitting weighs in at about 245 grams (8.6 ounces). If you're attacked by a wild animal while watering your garden this will make a pretty good defense swinging from the end of your hose. This is definitely designed for industrial use. EASE OF USE/INSTALLATION: Good I didn't have a 3/4 inch hose that needed to be repaired, so I tried this on my 5/8 inch hose. Well, after quite a struggle involving a hair dryer to stretch the hose I managed to get about 2/3 of the hose onto the fitting. I did use a thin application of silicone grease to get it on as far as I could. I really didn't expect it to work. I thought as soon as I put some pressure on it the water would be spraying everywhere or the hose would be blown off the fitting. (I have high water pressure from my outdoor spigots.) It held tight even when improperly used. I'm guessing that even on a 3/4 inch hose that this is made for, it's still gonna require some stretching and wangling about to get it fully seated on the hose. DO I RECOMMEND?: Well...Sure! It's a little bit overkill for a home garden hose, but after fighting with the leaking cheapo kits over the years, I think this will be my go-to in the future. This is a very strong and well made product. It was a little on the pricey side, but the quality is very good.
