The handle overlay is only a cheap covering not much of a gold color. The knife set block arrived dirty with spiders in the box. The block finish is poor. The blades are extremely sharp. That's a really good tribute!! I prefer 90/10 stainless to hold sharpness longevity over the 80/20 of the set. No biggie, Just my preference. Overall of all. I would consider buying again. The black falls off the handles and is gross. The metal of the knife is like tin, but does cut well and has an integrated sharpener, but the black block becomes scratched and looks cheap after only 2 months! I would never buy it again unless it was for staging and no one was going to use it!
