Suave Body Builder Volumizing Hair Mousse, Lightweight, Soft Hold, Fullness & Lift, 9 OZ

I use Suave Mousse 8 in my below shoulder length hair to scrunch it so that it is curly/very wavy. Depending on the style I want, I either let it dry naturally or scrunch it using my hair dryer. Without this mousse, my hair is flat, no volume, %26 is only slightly wavy.

I love this mousse for my curly, thick, kinky hair. It holds well and I can get away with using it a few days without having to wash my hair daily. It does not flake up, it holds well!! Highly recommend.

I have used this product for several years. I have fine, soft hair. The “less is more “ approach holds my curls without leaving my hair feeling sticky.

This is a big can, first of all. I usually use herbal essence but couldn't find it for whatever reason. Suave is a less expensive brand and so far has been juts as good if not better. Why better? well this mouse doesn't leave a residue. I used to be able to wake up, wet my hair and the herbal essence mouse would still be in my hair and would solidify. Which is a nice feature if you're a low maintenance guy, but it also leads to build up in your hair. So what I really like about this is that its light weight and doesn't have build up and a sticky feeling.

I was skeptical with switching my mousse, but after reading several reviews that recommended this product for their curly hair I thought why not give it a try. It’s cheaper than the previous mousse I was using and it actually does a better job with my curls. So if you’re skeptical just give it a try it’s worth it and you’ll be happy you made the switch.

I LOVE this mousse! I have very thick, long, wavy/curly hair and this is the only product that really helps enhance and hold my curls! I use about 3 handfuls at a time to cover all of my hair. Then I use a diffuser on my dryer to dry. I have tried tons of other products and this is the best for my hair type. Even if I straighten my hair, this mousse gives it so much volume. It doesn’t look flat or thin. I get lots of compliments on how beautiful my hair looks. I was recommended this mousse by a friend who also has thick curly hair. The key is to make sure you use a lot of it! It is so affordable as well! I do believe it contains alcohol,so may dry my hair out a bit, but I just use a leave in cream or conditioner a few times a week, to combat that. I’ve used this product for probably 15 years and I still love it!

I have very curly and frizzy hair and I have been using Suave captivating curls and they dont have it anymore, so this one came in its place. It took a lot of product in my hair and it made my hair feel like dried out straw and the frizzy came back almost immediately after it dried. It did not hold my curls at all and made it look stringy. I always look for product that holds my curls and makes my hair soft,but manageable and keeps the frizziness away. I love Suave products and i want to see the Suave Captivating Curls come back by popular demand. Thank you

I have to say that I’ve had this issue before with Suave hair styling products. It’s not a pleasant thing but to me this smells like cat urine. As does the hairspray. I’ve used Suave for the better part of my life due to the affordability and it actually works but I drawn the line at anything I wear or live in smelling atrocious. I will have to reach out to the company once again to relay my experience. If this keeps up, I will no longer purchase. Buy at your own risk. Will update if and when I have something more positive to add.

Nope. This is not a good product for fine hair. I have been a licensed hairstylist for many long years and I’ll use Salon products any day. But I thought I’d give this a try and boy am I sorry. It did not give my hair body it did not give my hair volume And after I slept on it, my hair was flat and straight again. I had used some water and scrunched it up, but the curls were weak. Now some people may like this, but I’m not one of them. No I will never buy this product again.
