This shampoo (and the conditioner that goes with it) was such a great find! After I had kids, my hair started getting gunky. I can't think of a better way to describe it. It just felt oily and gross even after washing it. For a while, I was using baking soda to wash it and that helped, but it was annoying. So I splurged on Pureology shampoo and conditioner and found that it worked great. But then my daughter hit puberty and her hair became oily too. She also found that Pureology did the trick. But it isn't cheap and I have to order it. I started trying to find something comparable at a more affordable price point and readily available. I tried several different brands ranging from $8 to $15 a bottle, and none of them worked. I ended up picking up this Suave Clarifying just to have something cheap until I could order more Pureology. It ended up working great! My daughter and I were both very pleasantly surprised, and it has saved me so much money! Now we alternate it with Pureology and the balance works well. If we use the Suave by itself for too long our hair feels dry, so switching between the two has been what works best for us. And I love that Suave doesn't test on animals!
This is a gentle, deep cleaning shampoo. I have used it for many years. It doesn't strip all natural oils. My hair's cuticle is closed resulting in smooth, shiny, very clean hair, ready for styling. The very nice price makes this a essential product.
This is the only shampoo I buy. This cleans like not other shampoo. It leaves my hair squeaky clean with no residue. My hair is full and looks great. This is also one of the best values for shampoo. I highly recommend it and encourage you just to try it once.
I use this to remove the build up from other products. Use it a couple times a months. Works greats. I wash hair, let it set for a couple of minutes, rinse then rewash again just to make sure it has removed the build up. Then follow up with my conditioner. Hair will feel a bit dry before using conditioner, but after conditioner use, gets so soft and clean feeling. Hair looks so much better and so soft. Lathers up nicely. Doesn't leave a residue.
I’ve been using this shampoo since early 2000s. This is the only shampoo that cleans my hair and keeps it from being oily. I have had people ask me what I use and they can never believe it. The only thing that could improve is the scent.
I shunned the fancy brands years ago. Glad I did. Most were found to contain carcinogens. I only use Suave Daily Clarifying shampoo and cream rinse. They work fine for me.
I am very impressed with this clarifying shampoo from Suave! I have long and highlighted blonde level 2-3 natural wave and curl patterns. This shampoos away any product buildup and gets my hair squeaky clean but does not leave it stripped in any way. I followed with the matching conditioner and combed through while in the shower. Again it's Suave with an unbeatable price at Walmart!
It smells pretty good, but I can't tell if it's truly working like a clarifying shampoo or not. My hair is crazy and I'll switch to this shampoo back to Renpure shampoo because that helps combat bad smelling scalp since I have hyperhidrosis and I sweat a great deal on my scalp throughout the day and even after showering which is super unfortunate. Not much to say but it's definitely a great price compared to Amazon and this was almost $10.00 on there. I'm satisfied with this purchase.
Suave has been a value leader for decades. First choice of thrifty and savvy people. Mild scent is slightly pretty, but not so pretty a man can't use it. I use it to wash face, hands, and body. Suave helps prevent cracking and bleeding hands in the winter, and is fairly mild for washing faces that tend to be dry. It will also cleanse skin greasy from sweaty jobs. I keep a bar of Lava in the soap dish, but Suave shampoo, which quickly rinses so perfectly, does the heavy lifting around here. You can buy expensive smelly shampoos, if that makes you feel affluent, but Suave will get your hair, and more, squeaky clean without being harsh.
I would not even donate this to the homeless. The use of this product immediately gives off an intense smell of chemicals and gives me a headache. I actually feel like you can feel this product disrupting your hormones. Horrible standard for an affordable product choice.
