This tastes just like the sauce at Subway from their Chicken Teriyaki subs! I love to get the Cuban bread bakery rolls, grilled chicken strips and Swiss cheese - toast in my sandwich press - then add super thinly sliced bell pepper, cucumber, some lettuce and Italian herbs. Finally, top it off with this delicious sauce and WOW! It tastes just like I went to Subway for a fraction of the cost! Going to try it as a glaze on grilled chicken soon. Can't wait! YUM!
We think this taste better then when you get it on your sub sandwich!! We use it for all kinds of things! We use it with a little pineapple sauce to make cashew chicken. We like as a dipping sauce for chicken tenders and as a steak marinade too.
When I found out that Wlmart carried my favorite Subway Chicken Teriyaki onion sauce, I was so happy!! I hope they continue to sell it for a long time now!
so my favorite sandwich at Subway used to be the sweet onion teriyaki chicken sandwich didn't know Walmart carried this sauce now that I can buy this I will never go to Subway again I'll make it at home because I love sweet onion teriyaki sauce thanks Walmart for carrying this and don't ever discontinue it
If you've had it at Subway this is the exact same taste they didn't pull any tricks you can buy this and Dave's killer rolls and canned chicken etc and 100% taste accurate make your own Subway sweet onion chicken teriyaki which I've probably had at least a hundred of them over the years and only because I couldn't afford more Everyone is different so you know but I feel like Subway made this just for me I'm surprised I haven't straight up drank it from the bottle hahahaha
I love this sauce and it taste exactly the same as the sauce I get it on my Subway sandwiches. I can now put it on my home-made sandwiches and salads and even use it on rice bowls as a side dish. It is tasty but not spicey hot - which is what I prefer.
I've used this in chicken, pork, and beef stir-fries ever since it came out. I quit buying other teriyaki sauces or sweet %26 sour sauce and stick to this. I always keep 2 or 3 bottles on hand and buy another for the pantry whenever one gets used. The whole family loves it. I hope Subway never stops making it available in stores.
Love the sauce. Remember, subway uses the teriyaki as a glaze and then the sweet onion sauce is a separate sauce added on after. If you want more of the sweet taste it’s missing, try getting a sweet vidalia onion sauce or any sweet onion sauce you prefer, add that THEN toast it. Very good sauce. Will be getting more!
Years ago I tried to find a sauce like the one Subway uses on their Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki subs and couldn't, so I've been using Ken's Sweet Vidalia Onion salad dressing. I recently discovered Subway sells their sauces now and this one is delicious! Highly recommended!
I like that more restaurants are offering condiments for a DIY vibe at home. The Subway Onion Teriyaki sauce, flavor-wise, is very good. It is also very thick. I would suggest this more for something along the lines of eggrolls, or a dipping sauce, as is. However, if you happen to be an at home chef, and want a flavorful addition to a stir fry, marinade or a chicken sandwich hoagie it is easily thinned with a bit of water, broth, wine or fruit juice. Overall, it is very good. Will purchase again.
