This design for a pole saw is right on. If I only need 10 ft of reach that's all I have to use. I don't have to wrangle with 17ft of poll. You can practically carry a 17 ft saw in your glove compartment.
This is a great product, need strong hands to cut large branches.

The first time we used the tree saw it came apart at the second connection point and feel right in front of my husband. We made sure all the connections were tight and tried again. It came apart at the same connection point again falling right in front of my husband. I would have to say the construction of this saw is very very poor and is very very dangerous to use. I would not recommend this tree saw to anyone.
difficult to assemble, and the saw blade is very flimsy and not very sharp and doesn't cut even the smallest branches- Just get stuck on branches... And the pull rope pruner is too weak to cut any branches either.
