I don't buy any other line
best monofilament fishing line
It seems like good line, it works on my reel.
All went well, I have it on a spinning reel, it might be a little to thick for that reel. I'm using it for river fishing from the shore, I wanted something heavy duty enough for night-fishing. Maybe the 30LBS line would have been a better fit for my spinning reel, we'll see how it goes. I use 20 LBS line at the end with the hook and sinker, that way when I get stuck, the 20 will break saving the 40 LBS from the abuse. It's for fishing the bottom at night, you never know what all might bite at night.

Unconventional Use
I used this item to help create a barrier above my chain-link fence to keep my chickens in. A little difficult to tie, but it did the job.
