The chips are good but be advised these are mini chips not full size ones. Price was unbeatable. They were supposed to take 2 weeks to be delivered but i received them 5 days before they were expected. Important in Florida here is, they didn't melt. Very happy with product just wish they would make a full size sugar free chip.
We use these chocolate almonds to welcome guests at our church. These are by far one of my favorite candies! We always get compliments on how quality they are.
Very good tasting sugar free chocolate chips. Mini size. Decided to buy these when a friend was diagnosed with Diabetes. Now i can make tasty cookies for her. Will help me lose weight too. For those who want to know, the sweetener is:Maltitol is a sugar alcohol (a polyol) used as a sugar substitute. It has 75–90% of the sweetness of sucrose (table sugar) and nearly identical properties, except for browning. It is used to replace table sugar because it is half as caloric, does not promote tooth decay, and has a somewhat lesser effect on blood glucose. In chemical terms, maltitol is known as 4-O-α-glucopyranosyl-D-sorbitol. It is used in commercial products under trade names such as Lesys, Maltisweet and SweetPearl. Packaging was very good too. No melting in the 90 degree weather! Will buy from Its Delish again.
I am Diabetic Twice I ordered and paid for SUGAR FREE Chocolate Chips. BOTH times I recieved SUGAR Chocolate Chips. The First ingrediant listed both times was SUGAR! What am I to do with 20 pounds of SUGAR Chocloate Chips??? They might be really good, but they can also Kill me! Are you having a problem with your shipping department?
Fantastic product! I am a Type 1 Diabetic on a low-carb, low-sugar diet, and these have done a wonderful job of helping curb my sweet tooth without affecting my blood sugar.
DO NOT order these during the summer. My 4 lb. bag arrived today in a insulated bag with an ice pack BUT the ice pack was melted and hot and chocolate chips were one melted clump. I did taste them and they tasted great but now I have one chunk instead of chips.
Do yourself and your health a favor and research Maltitol, the main "sugar free" sweetening ingredient in these chips and many other chocolates and ice creams. In short, a) high glycemic index - raises your blood sugar almost as much is eating regular sugar, b) same caloric count as sugar, c) causes gastrointestinal distress for many, d) does not cause cavities is the only upside. Look for erythritol/stevia sweetened items instead (Lilly's, Halo Top/Enlightened, etc.).
They are supposed to be sugar free but sugar is right in the ingredients list. Thanks for wasting my time.
Sent wrong item and wont return my calls or emails to return it.
This does not show the nutritional label nor ingredients, but it does contain Malitol per looking elsewhere online. Malitol is not a good substitute to sugar for a lot of people, especially depending reasoning you are seeking something sugar free. It can cause stomach upset in a lot of people, the glycemic index is rather high so blood sugar will probably spike, and the caloric content is pretty close to sugar. Also it is a bit less sweet than sugar so people tend to use more which that causes it to be just as not good for you as sugar. "Maltitol has three-fourths of the sweetness of sugar, three-fourths the calories of sugar, and three-fourths the glycemic index of sugar, it isn't a far leap to the conclusion that you need one-fourth more maltitol to get the same effect as sugar. That amount will give you close to the same effect in most other ways (except for dental cavities)—basically making maltitol a more expensive way to sweeten your food."
