Great lock, excellent security lightweight, but it's pretty thick braided steel cable , will be very difficult to cut so I will feel safe leaving my bike for a period of time perhaps up to 30 minutes. I'll never feel it's safe leaving a bike anywhere longer than that. It's PVC coating around the steel cable seems scratch resistant to protect my new gravel all carbon bike. I left out a star because as others have mentioned there are NO instructions included with the packaging on how to set the combination. The instructions can be found the Walmart item description, and it is EXTREMELY EASY TO SET once you find them. That said, instructions should be included or at least a reference on the packaging where to find those instructions to change the combination from 00000, Highly recommended, Great Value, excellent lock with outstanding protection for your bike from theft,

I just got it so I can’t speak to longevity, but it didn’t come with a code or directions. For anyone reading this, the code is all 0’s. In order to change the code, open the lock and there’s a small round knob sticking out. Turn it 90 degrees. Set your new code. Then turn the knob back. It’s that simple. Still, it’s very weird and annoying that this info is not included with purchase.

No where in the packaging did it tell you how to initially open the lock or how to set your own combination… I just purely got lucky and guessed 0-0-0-0-0 then it opened. Then I just HOPED! I could set my own 5 number un locking code - horrible packaging

the cover over the lock itself came off the first day I had to buy super glue to glue it back on. And the holder they sent to attach to my bike was designed wrong !!the snap is right next to the combination.if you snap it in the combination is facing the lock !! it's on the same side as the lock !! so if you snap it in you can't unlock it !! I tried every which way on my bike. but you can't because the snap in lock is adjasent to the combination. the snap should be on the opposite side, so you can unlock it once it's snapped in.

have to send it back no instructions scrambled the code before I even knew what to do didn't pay to go research something or they this one's no good so I have to return it and have you replace it I hope you guys make it worth my while I'm not very happy little instructions would help thank you good luck but I don't know yet

There are no instructions whatsoever how to open and set a password. When I finally was able to open and tried to lock it again it would not lock, it would stay open even though i changed the numbers to lock. The material looks good, but I’ll return because it’s broke or because there are no instructions!

The cheapest worst lock ever! You only get one chance to set a code and there were no instructions and as a result two of the four locks ended up with a randon code. On top of this, one lock froze while on two bikes as the correct code wouldn't open it and had to pay to have it cut. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BUY!!!
