Just received it yesterday. Took about 2 1/2 hours to put together. Instructions are not the clearest. The black and white copies do not help. Make it hard to see the exact part is. The explanation of its was also not the clearest. One big plus all screws we in seperate bags labeled. Seems to be a good goal, just have patience when putting together
There are several variants of this all listed with the same review. I got the larger 54 rectangular backboard version. Quality is decent for the price making this a fairly good value. Other reviewers are not kidding when they say assembly is painful. The instructions are terrible - blurry black and white images that don't show much detail and confusing wording. In one place it was outright incorrect on which direction 2 supports should be orientated resulting in the backboard leaning way forward (not perpendicular to the ground). I had to disable that part and swap their orientation. The backboard, rim, and pole all seem OK quality. The height adjustment leaver/handle is a little odd...will see how it lasts. I filled the base with water and it's heavy but still feels a little unsolid so may need to fasten it down to prevent from toppling in the wind. I don't really care for how the main pole leans back, meaning it and the base is under the rim and feels a little in the way when doing layups. Overall - a decent buy for the money.
The badketball goal is big, it looks greatit is very very nice! The only problem is, it will fall over during a slight windstorm! It fell on our 1 yr old grandson but ONLY by the grace of God, he was ok! It was horrifying but God is so GOOD! We have it down until we can fill it with cement and put tie downs into the ground!
I have mixed reviews on this hoop. Once fully assembled,, it seems good - we got it for our young son who loves to play. However, assembling it took 2-3 hours because the instructions were confusing and very unclear. Pictures were blurry and one step was actually written wrong. This resulted in taking it apart and trouble shooting multiple times. If you are handy and good at assembling on your own without the manua (like my husband)l, then go for it!
Wow, I’ve seen poor instructions, but this one took the cake. Pictures that don’t even closely resemble the task and fasteners labeled on their bags but not in the instructions. Hot garbage to assemble. Two thumbs way down for the lack of effort there.
The directions were black and white, and very hard to follow and not very descriptive when putting it together so it took about five hours to put the whole basketball hoop together. If it was colored and better quality, it would’ve been a lot easier.
Do not waste your money. The bottom support poles behind the triangle rebounder broke within 4 months of purchase, it also easily tips over in light wind even with a full and heavy base. Walmart was useless in connecting me to the company to ask for replacement parts (that I'm willing to pay for). You are better off buying a brand name goal, and probably from Amazon who has better customer service when it comes to returns and direct seller/vendor communication.
Got this in October of 25' and within 7 months the support brackets broke where they connect to the rim. My son is 7 and his friend is 8. They don't and can't dunk on this. This happened from them shooting. Quality is not good and no warranty on the item. Also have been told it is currently out of stock. Do not buy!! You might save some money now but you will pay later due to bad quality and replacing parts. Replacing rim is minimum $50. Try Spalding or a better name brand not worth the money.
We got the goal put together and got out the backboard out to install and realized it has a crack. We are requesting a new backboard be sent to us immediately.
very difficult to understand the instructions and does not build correctly backboard leans forward even though we followed the instructions that were difficult to understand bc of the lack of pictures and discription.
