SUGIFT Portable Air Conditioner with Remote Control 8000 BTU Compact Home AC Cooling Unit with Dehumidifier & Fan Modes

I'm a freeze baby, so I like it cold. Also, been running it all summer and so far I haven't had to empty the water once. I have to note that I live in NW PA and we do get some humid days, but not a lot. For the most part though, it works great at dispelling the evaporation right back outside. I have baked cakes and it kept the apartment nice and cool while baking. Overall- I would give it two thumbs up.

Today is the first day I've had it running, but it's working great so far. I actually had to turn the temperature up on it, because it was freezing me. The people who have complained about the noise level, are either used to dead quiet, or they got a defective unit. This thing is quieter than my window a/c was. I have a large, metal, floor fan, and it is louder on low, than this a/c unit is on high. I can finally turn the tv volume down!

it's over 90 degrees outside, the sun directly hits a large window and wall in my bedroom all day, and this AC unit has kept my room a cool 70 degrees all day. Note that I have it set to 67 degrees and 70 is measured by a thermostat on the other side of the room. This AC unit goes down to 61 degrees so I could absolutely make it even colder on this very hot day.

Because it's on casters, you get the impression that you can roll this AC all over the house. Indeed you can but those intake and exhaust hoses and the window kit have to come with you. That said, this unit is a good one and has great cooling ability. The unit cools my entire 1st floor. The noise level is much less than my old window AC and I really like that the unit can double as a dehumidifier.

So far so good. I use this AC unit in my home office which which generates a ton of heat due to my virtual server farm. (when it's 70 outside my office is 90 (F) even with the Central Air running. This unit is doing a good job so far keeping that temp down to a nice 72

Really good. It cools my living room. I live on the third floor of an 650 sq. Ft. Apartment facing south. Today the temperature only reached about 70 and was the first time we turned on the a/c. We will see how it works when temps. The a/c is attractive though. Only thing that I wished it had longer extension.

I had an issues where the house I am in has difficulties heating and cooling the master bedroom. While living in AZ, I scrambled to find a way to cool my room better this year and came across this.It cooled my room in a matter of minutes.And I didnt see that large of a spike in my electric bill. Even tho I ran it all day everyday.

I was not expecting this to work that well but it actually has. It isn't perfect and I'm not going to say it made it chilly everywhere but in the room it's in it's nice and does the job well. The other rooms of the apartment don't get cold but they feel significantly better than they would without this running. The key is to have a nice network of fans to get the air moving in the right direction.

Overall I am happy with the purchase though. It cools very well. If you were to use it in a single bedroom with the door closed this thing could make it icy cold. I do wish the price was lower but it seems solidly built and I hope the price does reflect the quality and this ends up lasting many many years.

Overall I am very pleased with this unit, and while it is not a constant use machine for me when put into service it does the job.
