Sulky Ultra-Solvy Water-Soluble Stabilizer Roll, 12" x 8 yds

Have tried other water soluable stabilizers, but ULTRA SOLVY is the best I have found and Wal-Mart's price is a bit over 1/2!!! what the chain fabric store in town sells it for. Great for free standing lace, which is what i bought it for. dissolves quickly and rinses out cleanly.

I use this Sulky Uktra Solvy for free standing lace embroidery projects. It gets the job done with one layer. I especially like the width of it because when used with my largest hoop, I have no waste width wise. I also like that I can control the stiffness of my projects just by rinsing the Solvy out less if I want them very stiff, or rinsing more if I want them soft. I lve in a small town and no one has this product in stock, so ordering from Walmart is very convenient. Delivery to the store is free, and it's even very inexpensive (less than $3 ) to have 2 of the Sulky delivered to our home. Did I mention that this is best price anywhere for this product, and it's now the only stabilizer I use for free standing lace projects?

Works well, but do NOT saturate with water. Best to wipe one piece with damp sponge, add your fabric/fiber pieces and then wipe the top piece piece with damp sponge too. Lay the top on the bottom and allow to dry before stitching over. Very happy with site-to-store service too.

Wonderful product - wish the store in Dunn carried more. My store never has anything in stock although they have no problem having it shipped to the store in time - I wish people in the upper management would see that they are virtually the only store in the Dunn/Erwin area and allow them to have more variety like the other stores have - When we have a Walmart in our area, there is no reason we have to travel to another town or order an item - Why can't they stock our store also!

this water soluble stabilizer feels like heavy plastic sheeting, and when applied as a bath towel topping is ideal for placement of machine embroidery. it may be necessary to wash twice to get the fluffiness of the bath towel back to where it was prior to the embroidery. the product is also useful as a stabilizer for a bottom seam on a double knit t-shirt, preventing waving of the knitted material (that's a nasty problem when shortening a knit or double knit t-shirt). I have used the product on such a bottom seam, first to stabilize during serging and then again when top stitching the seam using a double needle on a regular sewing machine.

Very sturdy water soluble stabilizer for machine embroidery. Heavy enough for dense lace designs. Great price, too!
