Summer by Ingenuity Wood Banister & Stair Safety Pet and Baby Gate, 33 - 46" Wide, 33" Tall - Birch Stain

We have 2 banisters that are off set and kinda at a diagonal from one another. This gate is perfect for people like us! It's because we have a multi level house. Also no drilling and no requirement for pressure from straight equal sides! It's strong and opens wonderfully!

This gate is great for an area where you can't/don't want to drill holes. It even comes with fabric straps and pads so it doesn't scratch up the wood. My husband who is very against making any sort of mark/drilling holes/basically touching the wood said while he was putting it together “whoever invented this is a GENIUS!” Haha! The one con that I have is you have to slide it right to left to open it, it doesn't just swing open, so it's more of a two handed operation. But I can overlook that for the fact that we finally found a gate that works!

Super versatile gate. We have two of these. One at the bottom of the stairs between the posts and one at the top of the stairs between a post and the wall.

Perfect gate for setting up between two bannisters! Set up took a while but it's so easy to open and close and actually looks attractive unlike other baby gates we've had. Totally safe for our 7 month old who climbs all over everything!

This is a very nice baby gate that we used at the top of our stairs. Love that we didn't have to drill into our banisters. Gate swings open both ways with no step over. It's nice and secure.

I really like this gate, but we did need to make an adjustment to our banister to make the gate work. I checked all the measurements, read the reviews and checked to make sure that it would work, but the handrail on our stairs comes right to the point where the gate connects to the banister. So, with some adjustments that my husband made, the gate works great.

Easy to install, easy to latch/unlatch, sliding it open and closed is a little sticky, and the little foot that rests on the ground isn't long enough, but overall satisfied.

This gate seemed really solid and I was excited to install it but the measurements are misleading. It indicates the height as 33” but the pole used to install is actually 36”. This doesn't work for most who have a railing on one side of the banister.

It does not have a very sturdy feel. There is a little metal part that is meant to stop the door rom swinging through but it protrude out about 2" right at the height of my kids foreheads. One of our wood slabs has a chip in it. I don't love this product but it will do for now.

nice quality. however, it's a fire trap. the handle is hard to use for an adult, especially an adult with a child in their hand. it's even worse if you have older children that you expect will be able to lift the handle on their own. it's a shame though because otherwise it's a great product. easy to set up. really nice looking as well. but the handle is just too difficult to use. if the company could fix that and make the lever easier to use, it'd be a five star product.
