I purchased this pool June 2018. I haven't submitted a review until now because I wanted to give an accurate experienced review. This was a great purchase. Pool has been awesome because I take care of it according to the instructions. Going on third summer and no issues. It took two people to set up, 4 hours, but that was expected. I put down an extra layer of protection under the pool at set up. After the first summer I took it down, followed the instructions precisely. I made certain it was clean and completely dry, I also applied a good layer of baby powder in the pool to keep it from molding. It work perfectly! Second summer - I set it up, 2 hours this time, not a big deal. After the second summer I left it up and prepared it for the off season, again I followed the instructions - winterized it, ordered a winter cover, and it was fine. This season I did drain the pool and sanitized it (even tho I prob didn't need to) and refilled it with fresh water. I live in TX so I don't know how this pool would do keeping it set up in a state where it snows. The only downfall is the cheep pool cover, it's pathetic. I replaced it with one that is more durable, I use a completely different one (made for winter) for off season. The filter has been fine, again I take care of it (put it away during off season) - however this swim season I ran the filter for the first time and it stopped pumping - I got on google and research the issue (youtube is awesome!) and replaced the rotor impeller ($27 from manufacture) and it works wonderful!!! Since I live in TX where we have weeks of 100 plus days of heat, the return tube cracked after two seasons, again I ordered it from manufacture ($7) and filter up and running fine. This pool is perfect size for us and manageable to keep up on. If you want it to last, treat it good, take care of it as directed and you will be happy. As with any thing you buy, there is wear and tear - the filter pump parts in my case (I ran the filter a lot as I was suppose to) things don't last forever, but for this pool it was inexpensive to fix. I'm a single mom and did this all on my own!
We purchased this pool may 1st 2018 we love it a few tips, make sure your pulling the legs/bricks out as it's filling especially if one side is a little lower pull those out as far as you can and even tho the pump looks self explanatory read the instructions carefully we were exhausted by that point and just put it on but that was a mistake I had no idea you put chlorine tabs in the filter it takes 1" tabs you should purchase ahead of time we live in a small town and our Walmart doesn't arry the chlorine tab floater so we had to purchase online I recommend getting that ahead of time it took about 8-10 hrs to fill do not leave it filling overnight or while your gone because you need to watch the legs/bricks carefully that being said it's a great pool!
Very sturdy. I like that the frame is metal and not PVC. Liner is nice and thick. We dug our grass out and put sand down and then the included ground cover, this will prevent grass possible poking though the liner. We will be investing in a sand filter because normally the included filters are pretty cheap and I want a timer. Overall great price and quality
I have had a different above ground pool for five out of the eight past years and this has been the best pool and filter pump that I have purchased so far. It is easy to maintain and the pump has never given me any issues . The pump probably works too well because I have plug filters up with wasps and yellow jackets and every other large bag that's ever flown into that pool .... but the pump keeps humming . I would buy another one of these in a heartbeat !
overall a good pool but if you are wanting to keep the pool clean then you will need to add a sand filter I recommend getting one when you get your pool the filter that comes with it just doesn't do the job I ordered a intex sand filter and my pool stays clean
I put the pool up last July and enjoyed it for about a month until the pump wouldn't keep up with the algae in the pool. I had to close it up and buy a new Intex sand pump that is awesome to keep it clean. New problem this year is that I'm losing about a 1/2 inch of water every day. I think I have a leak. This should have been a much better pool for the money I spent. I will try to contact Walmart to see if I can get a replacement, but I seriously don't think it will happen. They have been using Covid-19 as a reason not to take returns and will probably do the same with this. I'm thoroughly disgusted.
we bought this couple of weeks ago but it didn't come with the extra stuff
Just got this pool from Walmart. It did not have a ground clothe for under the pool, it also didnât come with the accessories (net, vacuum). Started to fill it up and find theres a hole in the seem! I donât know what weâre gonna do now! Theyâre sold out everywhere!!! My kids will be so dissapointed. The only plus is it was rather quick and easy to set up.
The whole bottom of the pool busted out. Im lucky i was outside when it happened to turn my water off. It needed like a few more inches of water to turn the pump on. I didnt even have the pool long enough to enjoy it. I highly do not reccomend this pool to anyone. 5,000 gallons of water gone, 300 plus dollars gone, and my water bill will be sky high for nothing now. if you buy this good luck to you!!
This pool sucks. Multiple leaks in the liner and the pump failed all in the first year. But the Intex.
