Great Movie
I got this movie on Vudu during a sale.How ever it is a great movie and it truly shows you how HeII Boy was suppose to be.Unlike the other HeIIBoy movies this one focuses on HeII Boys real personalty.This is not a movie made for kids so keep that is mind I mean it has a R rating for crying out loud.Any way the movie was very well made and I look forward to getting the next one when it comes out.But do keep in mind that this is not suppose to be a add on to the other HeIIBoys.This is suppose to be a new take to HeIIBoy in order to make it more like the comics.

Got It Right... Sorta
Far better than the original two which were fun but toned down significantly violence wise, and the Liz/Hellboy thing was silly. In this version things are closer to the comic, the graphic violence from the comic is there, and it loosely follows two of the stories from the comic. There's still levity to be found in this version of the film but much like the comic, this film is not suitable for kids whatsoever, the comic never has been so i have no clue why the two original films were. Oh, and excellent performances by Harbor and Jovovich. My only complaint, two things were out of place, Bromm was already dead in the comic for a long time when Hellboy found out he was related to Arthur, and Abe is in the very start of the comic. As for a sequel, I'm not counting on it since I don't think the box office numbers were as high as they wanted them to be. But that doesn't mean jack, Doctor Sleep didn't meet expectations box office wise but it is an excellent film. The mainstream prefer mindless films with bad actors like the Furious franchise, so I'm not surprised.
