Lots of bright light output! Ideal for my seedlings and plants that require high volume of light without heat burning them. Easy to hang although it is a little heavy. Option to hang overhead or vertically which is a good feature. The cord is 12' which is decent but could use it to be a little longer since I'm hanging it from the ceiling. The on/off switch is convenient.

First off, these fixtures and linear fluorescent tubes (I did my research prior to the purchases) work very well. The seedlings are responding well to the lights and the gentle warmth that goes along with the lights (note to consumer - I am able to hold my fingers against the tubes for 10 to 15 seconds before discomfort began). I have managed a couple of seasons of seed starting with LED lights, both white and pink/purple while using heat mats. No matter what, I wound up with about one half of the seeds being leggy and unproductive in the garden. I was very limited of the count of seeds I wished to start as the LED lights and heat mats ate up space. I decided to "bite the bullet" and order a rather higher end grow-light system. I shopped and compared. I found these lights at various vendors. Some of the vendors had a lower price than Walmart, but the delivery cost raised the price up to HIGHER than the Walmart price (Walmart doesn't charge a delivery fee for purchases over $35.00). I bought these lights through Walmart from an independent vendor. Since these lights are a little warm, I decided to play a little. This year I have started 236 seeds which is much more than twice as much of what I would have started using the LED light strips. It occurred to me that I may not need the heat mats at all using a fluorescent tube light fixture, but I wanted to know for sure; I used heat mats under the lower shelf and no heat mat on the upper shelf, both illuminated with the Sun Blaze T5 High Output Fluorescent Fixture (cut and paste is so very handy <g>). The ONLY difference that I can observe is that the plats over the heat mats need more watering. Both shelves had the same growth. NO HEAT MAT REQUIRED in a 63-degree room. When starting seeds under a grow light, the grow light should pretty much me on top of the plat for best light optimization, and the heat from the fixture negated the need for a heat mat. This is safer and less worry than using both a heat mat and a low heat providing grow light; I believe I would call this a win. Under two lights, the 236 seeds started and the germination and subsequent growth rate being better than before, I can say that I am satisfied with the performance of the lights. Although the price is higher than the LED lights, along with the higher electricity costs that come with fluorescent lighting compared to LED, I am glad I bought these. The fluorescent tubes are supposed to have a long life (although not as long as LED); I have priced replacement tubes and I have found them affordable. There was one little wrinkle in the purchasing process. There was an issue caused by the warehouse. I contacted Walmart and the vendor, and the issue was resolved by the seller within a couple of days, giving me plenty of time for seed starting. This turned me from being a worried and weary buyer into what will probably be a return customer (when/if a need arises).

This Sun Blaze T5 High Florescent Fixture is an excellent light source for growing plants. Another smaller sized plant light that I had was not effective and my plant died. Now with this 120-volt florescent plant light, I can start over again, with more confidence that my plants won't die. This Sun Blaze T5 High Florescent Fixture gives out 54 Watts and it comes with a 5 year warranty. This just can't be beat. This florescent hanging plant light is made from a very sturdy white powder-coated steel housing. It is very well made. Great workmanship. It has wire cable hangers and v-hangers included which allows the florescent plant light to be hung horizontally or vertically. This type of versatility is a benefit. It also has a daisy chain which would allow multiple florescent fixtures to be plugged in together, if you had more. For my use, this one will be sufficient.

Comparing the light output to our other other fixtures; we believe it has 20,000 lumens output. This is a fluorescent light fixture that uses the T5 SMALL diameter bulbs. The T5 6500° K bulbs can be swapped out if you have a different color in mind. Overall the fixture is 47 x 12 x 2-1/2 inches in size. Included are two different mounting options, 1-1/2 inch (from the ceiling) solid wire mounts, and 13 inch (from the ceiling) wire rope mounts. The wire ropes can also be used to the hang the lights on a wall We commonly mount these types of fixtures directly to the ceiling or the wall with screws (not using any of the included mounting options). This is basically what you need to grow seed starters for a garden but I suppose it could work for other means it came shipped well my son even pushed the box down the stairs and the light was in tact when I opened it the lights are bright it came with all light panelsand screws and brackets needed. Great value and great product

I most definitely recommend this light. It is about 12 pounds heavy and plugs right into 110 outlet, 120 volts and this is a super bright light,, super! It does get VERY warm with the fluorescent bulbs. It has chains for hanging and I personally would say it's suitable for a garage or a covered porch/lean to.

This heavy duty light is super bright i put this in my garage to give it more light and it was so bright it over powered the other lights i have in there can see anything great comes with easy way to hook up to most anything this would be a great addition to put in a much needed lighted area

The Sun Blaze fluorescent fixture is perfect for my needs. I have a detached garage that we are restoring a car in and you can never have too much lighting to see what you are doing. This light is huge! When I ordered it, I wasn't paying attention to the measuements so was delighted to see how large it was when it came. It was very easy to install in my garage, it came with chains to hang it with and after I hung it, all I had to do was plug it in. I now have so much more light! The light is about 4 feet long and has 4 extra bright bulbs making it 20,000 lumens and the power cord is 12 feet long so you have plenty of room to plug it into and outlet. This fluorescent fixture is perfect for my needs and I only wish I had gotten it earlier! You won't be disappointed in this fixture, I haven't found anything about it that I don't like.

The quality of this light is much better than using a traditional shop light. Hanging cables are already attached and it also comes with a nice long heavy cord. It has a good quality power switch on the front and a power receptacle at the end opposite from the cord to allow daisy chaining them together It comes with four t5 bulbs already installed but still in the protective paper tubes so you will have to remove them to get the tubes off and re-install them. One of my bulbs has something rattling around inside and that bulb flickers at times so I apparently got a bad bulb. I tis 216 watts total and it is Made in China.

As a plant enthusiast, I needed to find something to help my indoor plants grow. This is the perfect product to use to help your indoor plants grow to their full potential. Especially, if you have your plants in a place without natural lighting. Along with water and nutrients, good UV lighting is essential for plant growth. This LED fixture is perfect for a large shelf or plant cabinet. Also, I love how long the cable is, at about 12 feet. You can connect it to nearby outlets without the use of an extension cord. The light is extremely bright at about 5k lumens. It comes with all the hardware needed for any type of mounting. It can be hung vertically or horizontally. Overall, I'm very happy with this LED fixture. I've got a several indoor plants that are already benefitting from the extended UV exposure. If you're into outdoor plants or just looking for a way to light up your room, this LED fixture does a great job. It doesn't use as much electricity to run being an LED light. I'm very impressed and I'll be recommending it to others.
