Sun Joe 24-Volt Cordless Handheld Hedge Trimmer Kit, 18-inch, 2.0-Ah Battery & Charger

Have only had and used it for a short time, but it works well and is not too heavy. My previous experience with SunJoe, including another recent purchase through Walmart, has been good and I have no reason to complain about anything.

Works well, lightweight, nice to have a trimmer. Without a cord. battery life is decent.

You can get carried away using this tool! Hint: get an extra battery.

My new battery-driven trimmer is great compared to my old corded model. It's also much lighter in weight and smoothly cuts through my bushes and a small tree.

It was just what I wanted. Exactly as described (which isn't always the case on other websites). Works GREAT! Easy to use. Got my hedge trimmed in 1/4 the time!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My only concern with this product was that everything came packaged somewhat loose in the primary box. The battery and charger were in their own smaller boxes as expected, but everything just sort of bounced around inside the larger box. Nothing to hold the pieces in place for shipment. But on the other hand, it reduced the amount of waste, with no big styrofoam blocks, etc. so maybe that's a good thing. Otherwise, the battery came fully charged (has a nice battery level indicator button and LEDs) and snapped right into place for immediate use. The trimmer isn't as heavy duty as some larger more expensive units would be, but I don't think that's the aim here. This trimmer is light and easy to maneuver - I can use is for extended periods without fatigue which I appreciate. The battery charges by plugging a cord directly into the battery - again didn't feel as heavy duty that way but then the more I thought about it the more I appreciate NOT having any more charging docks to keep track of! This is easy - pop off the battery, plug cord right into it to charge. Unit has good power and the battery life seems more than ample. I trimmed quite a bit and never ran out or needed to charge.

This trimmer's price was the best I could find at WalMart, it does exactly what I need for home trimming.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This trimmer falls right in between not powerful enough and reasonably light. It's the constant struggle with battery power tools that to have more power you need a bigger battery, but a bigger battery generally means the tools is heavier. I could relatively easily use the tool one-handed to reach towards the back of the bush in front of my house, though not for super long. That said, I wish that the tool was simply longer so I didn't have to wield it one handed like a 3 Musketeer wields their sword. That of course goes back to the overall weight and power of the trimmer. I think for some people this tool is going to hit a sweet spot. Not too heavy, reasonable power and length to hit bushes and such that they can walk around so they don't have to worry about it's diminutive blade length. For me... well it does the job. Not terribly quickly but good enough. Considering its price and how long the battery lasts (barely put a dent in the charge after trimming the bush in front of my house) I think this is a really good value.

The Sun Joe hedge trimmer was sent in its original box without the brown box any order is usually sent in. The original box came torn, trimmer was loose in the box and did not work. Whether it got broken on the way, do not know what happen to it. Poor, poor packaging.
