Sun Joe 24V 12" Multi-Angle Head Cordless Dual Line String Trimmer Kit, 24V-ST14

The Unit was easy to put together and the battery seems to last a long time before needing to be recharged. I like the feeding mechanism as it isn't a bump on the ground it is a turn 'on-off' feed. I haven't tried the edger function yet, but it is easy to rotate it into position. Very quite. This is definitely a home use not a commercial use unit, but that is what I got it for.

Only thing is the wire on the motor came off and wouldn't get any power after the first use but after I took it apart and inspected it then repaired the wire it works perfectly again and I'm glad I got it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Sun Joe trimmer is great. I like the lime green color it makes it stand out. This trimmer is lightweight and easy to use. You can go from trimmer position to edger with the press of a button . The edger is excellent for when you're trimming around flowers so that you don't accidently cut them down. I like that it is cordless and no need for smelly gas. This trimmer also has a telescopic pole that measures out to 5'8" so pretty good size pole to be able to maneuver with. It takes approximately 2 hours to charge the battery and you can run it for about an hour. Best cordless trimmer I have had. I highly recommend this trimmer to someone that is looking for something that is reliable.

Seems to be a high quality made string trimmer with a very nice battery. The only thing I don't like is the string advance (be sure to read how it works before buying).

This is a nice trimmer/edger. Two things that I don't like about is, 1) you have to manually put the line out when you need more cutting line and 2) it states you can get a replacement spool (24V-ST14 Spool). I've looked it up and can't find any replacement spool for this trimmer.

The unit is a little heavy but the worst part is the auto string feed does not work well especially when in the edging position (maybe I have a bad unit but after a short run of the unit I have to manually release the string).

Very good quality but too heavy and long for me. I wanted this brand because I have the mower and blower and I really like them. Unfortunately this trimmer is not for me.

I bought the trimmer in 2022 and it has worked great. The reason for the two-star rating...the replacement string spools are unavailable. This product needs to be taken off the market until a viable replacement spool becomes available.

Ordered this primarily for its touted use as an edger. Am unable to get to work as an edger unless the guide wheels and flower guard are removed. This makes the unit too unstable and unwieldy for the intended operator, a 4 foot 11 inch, 120 pound person. Am looking to return unit for refund.

I'm shopping for my first Cordless Mower and Trimmer and after reading reviews of trimmer with plastic blade wearing out quickly, I decided to view a string trimmer, only to find out Sun Joe doesn't stock any replacement strings :( Back to my search for a trimmer.
