great machine....dont buy extra hose which is a still hose a real pain to work with .....only use the high pressure flex hose .....like the one that comes with the 4001...the still ones a worthless...........also I didnt know if nozzle get plug that the 4001 QUITS WORKING...n0t knowing the problem...after some time and checking out the entire system and then open nozzle ...all works great again....would have been nice if a note was in info, check nozzle first....
I have had the Sun Joe SPX4001 for several weeks now and have run it a lot of hours cleaning my house, garage and boat dock. I previously have a gas washer and was not sure what I could expect from this electric unit, but after using it am very pleased with the pressure. It far exceeded my expectations! I highly recommend this unit.
This pressure washer really delivered the goods when it came to ease of use and good water flow. I decided to purchase this unit because it had a greater GPM water flow rate than the smaller units I've owned before. It is twice as fast as the smaller units and delivery of water is smoother too.
Well designed and powerful enough for every outside job in the normal home. I have used it for every outdoor cleaning need. Patio, driveway, siding, fences and windows. Worked like a charm. Very sturdy design. I also use it to sno-foam my car and truck. Makes auto cleaning fun and does a super job, with a sno-foam cannon.
I have used a gas-powered PW for many years, and have always been satisfied with the power. The one drawback has always been in getting them to start, when they have set for a while. I recently had trouble (twice) getting the gas PW to start, and decided to give 'electricity' a try. I was expecting the electric PW to come up short on some of the tougher jobs, but it has far exceeded my expectations. I have yet to find something it can't do as well as my old PW. The old one is going to be featured in the next yard sale.
The first power washer I've bought. Light, easy to use, it's also powerfull enought to do what I need in my Garden home. I have only 200 linear ft of fence, a 12 x 34 deck with bench and table and a 20 ' driveway plus sidewalks to clean. It wolrked like a charm. I found that some attachments bought separately are too powerful at full settings for some jobs. So I used them at the low power and it too worked well. I'd buy again!
I have had the less expensive pressure washers for the last 5 years or so and they last for awhile then give up the ghost so to speak. This time I upgraded and this one is built way better. Much better pump and hose and it is larger and hoods the hose and accessories much better. Great buy I give it 5 stars.
I admit I have only used this washer a couple of times so my experience is limited. It works as advertised. Two things bother me though. First, this model has a hose reel with a plastic handle to rewind the washer hose. This handle is worthless and started to break immediately upon first use. It’s just not sturdy enough to do the job. The second issue is with a part that connects the pressure washer to a garden hose. It’s very difficult to connect the hose without dripping or spraying and then it’s nearly impossible to unconnect the hose when done. Oh, and a word to the wise, it goes through soap quickly so you need to watch that and not have it at the max setting.
I had a Sun Joe pressure washer unfortunately it broke just two months out of warrantee. Nevertheless I did like it so I decided to get another Sun Joe pressure washer. This time a chose a model with the same pressure output but with a built in hose reel. I like the pressure as before and I do for the most part like the built on pressure hose reel. The reel is nice but its a bit hard to get the presser hose onto the reel with the small crank handle. This time I bought an extended warrantee, hopefully I won't need it. I think anyone not needing over 2000 psi will like owning this pressure washer.
The only problem I had with this unit is that the current design for the reel crank is flimsy. The screw that holds the handle to the reel body pull out and the reel would not work. I corrected the problem by removing the existing screw, drilled out the holes on both sides of the handle and replaced the screw with a bolt, washers and nut.
