The color is a bit darker than I'd anticipated, but I am pleased (and a bit surprised) to say that these curtains actually work! Yes, they're "room darkening", which is so nice on summer afternoons and evenings. I bought these, though, in hopes of reducing the heat that was getting pumped -- hard! -- into the front room, making that area pretty much unliveable for me. Now, even when it's hot outside (80's, so far) and sunny all day, the front room is only marginally warmer than the rest of the house. Yay!
The curtains were beautiful and worked perfect for what I was using them on. I use them on my front porch that was closed down the curtains were beautiful and worked perfect for what I was using them on. I use them on my front porch that was closed in.
Curtains were the perfect length for my apartment sliding glass door (there is a window above the door) and had accurate measurements. The curtains themselves are a lightweight fabric so they are not heavy for the curtain rod I ordered from Amazon. They also do well at keeping out sunlight.
Very pleased with these Sun Zero Arlo Thermal curtains. Each panel was consistent in size, color and hang very neatly. Easy to maintain. They do reduce some of the cold hence my room is a bit warmer. I did lightly steam them to remove creases which was easy to do. I hung them on Mainstays silver adjustable curtain rods which worked out perfectly. The curtain rings make it very easy to pull open and close. They block some of the light but since they are for my sewing room I didn't need them to block out the light entirely. The curtains appearance from outdoors is also important to me. The light colored backing is a big plus and they look great inside and out! On a shoe string budget the price allowed me to triple the panels for fullness in each window and provides a more finished rich look and heat reduction.
This purchase was for white curtains. Privacy and filtering the light. While it brightens the room as the sun rises I still have privacy. I have purchased this brand in other colors. The darker the color less light comes through. I have paired the curtains with a second layer of sheer curtains for day time. Other rooms I added room darkening shaded. Pleased with my purchase for my needs.
I just love these curtains. I bought them to brighten up my bedroom along with some solid grey sunblock shears. They did not disappoint. I bought two pairs of these curtains and I hung them as such: one printed curtain, 2 shears, a printed curtain on one side of the middle followed by the same pattern on the other side. I've received so many compliments.
I bought the Sun Zero Arlo Thermal Curtains in mocha brown, and overall I'm happy with them, but there are a couple things people should know before buying. First, the color is not really “mocha brown”. In my room, they actually look more like a grayish green/olive tone, especially against green walls and warm lighting. They still work with my space, but if you are expecting a true brown, this may not be the color you get. That said, the quality is good for the price. The fabric feels durable, and they hang nicely once adjusted. They also do a decent job of darkening the room, especially when used with blinds. They are not complete blackout, but they definitely reduce sunlight a lot. I also like that they help with privacy and insulation, which is noticeable right away.
The reason I wouldn't recommend these curtains is due to the lack of consistency with the backing. I've ordered several, and purchased several from the stores nearby. I've had to return three sets due to the backing not being the same. The curtains that I kept do a great job of blocking the sun. The curtains I returned have a white backing and filters the sun. The quality isn't the same even though the packing and description are the same. If you don't mind, repeat ordering and searching your nearby stores, then these curtains are a deal for the money.
I recently purchased these curtains and found them to be of excellent quality. The material is both durable and aesthetically pleasing, adding a touch of elegance to my son's room. I initially bought three pairs, but they were slightly longer than expected, so I returned two of them. However, I was so impressed with the effectiveness of the curtains that I decided to keep one pair for my son's window. These curtains are incredibly effective at blocking out light, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that just two pairs (1 pack) were enough to significantly darken the room. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend these curtains to anyone looking for both style and functionality.
The material is very thin so I have no idea if they with help with cold air. The color mocha brown is more a shiny light brown than the picture, no where a dark brown. They definitely need to be washed due to the wrinkled material and dust. I will need to think about keeping the curtains. Only really good thing was the driver, Carlos.
