I was nervous that the curtains wouldn't be thick enough as they feel fairly thin, but I was PLEASANTLY surprised!! I used the cheapy curtain rods that just hook onto brackets that Walmart sells- they curve around the window which means they would allow the curtains to block any light coming from the sides of the window. They worked wonderfully especially since the curtains aren't heavy! There is still light coming from the top of the window and the bottom, but I expected as much- which is fine. My husband works overnights and these curtains are perfect for creating the nighttime feel he needs to sleep during the day. For reference, our windows face east and south, so lots and lots of light needs to be blocked. I'm extremely happy with my purchase and would definitely buy them again and again!! **pictures are of the bedroom with the door closed and pictures with the bedroom door open to show the difference in light**
I have a double rod curtain set up and wanted out curtains to hang on the inside rod behind my actual curtain that wouldnt really show anyway. They are perfect for what I wanted. The material is pretty plain and industrial looking , so I don't think I would like them if they hung alone as the main curtain
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These blackout curtain panels have been in game changer in my room as it effectively blocks out light and it is super durable with it being a great material and quality. The finish of the curtain is also very chic.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm genuinely impressed with the Wayfair Basics Thermal 100% Blackout Curtain Panel. It does exactly what it promises. Once these were up, the room became noticeably darker and cooler, They block out sunlight extremely well, even during bright afternoon hours, which has made a big difference for TV glare. The fabric feels thicker and more substantial than I expected for the price, with a clean, simple look that works easily with different decor styles. They hang nicely without looking stiff, and the color is rich and even. Installation was quick and easy, and they've held up well so far without wrinkles or fading. If you're looking for affordable blackout curtains that actually work, these are a great choice. I would absolutely purchase them for other rooms.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These have been such a nice addition to my bedroom. While I love the morning sun shining in, it's nice to be able to sleep in. These curtains provide excellent coverage and allow me to feel rested. The color and fabric is very nice as well. Easy to wipe off. They were easy to put up and hang. I love them.
This is a one pack panel, so for a proper window you will need to purchase two. They have a white liner that faces the window to reflect heat and are very good at keeping out light. The color is true to the picture.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So the picture I saw previously made it look thicker than it actually was. The material felt nice but it was more translucent. I will have to keep the blinds behind these to block out the light better because these are not black out as they seem. The material does feel nice though.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I put my curtain in my camper since its thermal and we are about to go hunting it will help keep the heat inside from the toy hauler area where its cold. The curtain is a little long for that spot but I didnt know exactly where I wanted them. They seem to block out light and thats good so my guests that sleep in the back won't be disturbed when the kids turn the lights on.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Wayfair Basics curtains arrived at exactly the right time for my family. My husband ended up having to stand duty for 12 hour night shifts for a week, which is something he has really never needed to do. Getting used to sleeping in the daytime was not easy for him the first day. Luckily, I remembered that these thermal blackout curtains are supposed to keep out all of the light. I put them up the next night while my husband was at work, and he was able to sleep a little better the next day. Do they keep out all light, no, but they would definitely do so if I had more of them and could manage to get them to stay put on the sides. The only light that comes through at all is on the sides. I am not a fan of the texture of the curtains. They feel hospital grade if that makes any sense. They are not as pretty as any of my other curtains, but I could throw in a valance to make up for that and who really touches their curtains on a daily basis? I also noticed that my bedroom was much warmer this morning when I woke up, so I am thinking that they help insulate as well. This would be a great buy for anybody who needs some help during extreme temperatures or anybody who wants to sleep in past sunrise or go to bed before sunset.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The he Wayfair Basics Thermal 100% Blackout Back Tab/Rod Pocket Curtain Panels are pretty good. They are lighter weight material but really black out the room. They are a true white, which I worry about with my tween daughter but they are washable so that will help! I still need to steam out the wrinkles and adjust my curtain rod, but I think they will look nice in my daughter room.
