They weren't what I expected. I was halfway expecting something bulky, but was really pleased to see that they weren't. My son is autistic and I don't think he would've enjoyed thicker material
Love the color, definitely blocks out light. I especially love the magnetic addition to ensure grave yard sleepers have natural sleep cycle. Plan, however, to iron or steam for a bit when they come in, as they are thicker and require work to remove wrinkles. Fantastic purchase!!
These ******** curtains are amazing! We have been wanting to block orf a problematic window in the house due to the desert heat. We finally pulled the trigger and what a difference it made. Not only did it darken the room more, we immediately noticed a difference in temperature. It was cooler in the area. Definitely going to buy more in the future.
I really like these curtains. I like that they snap together and hold closed. I use the longer ones on my closet and the shorter ones. I am using Windows in my dining room and living room. they're very easy to put up. they're high quality, very thick and I believe they're going to block out the heat and the cold. They compliment my tan linen curtains well as well as some curtains with print. And they pair well with a different set of cartons I have in the living room. I would definitely recommend these.
These are great curtains! Very light weight and nothing gets through even though they are white. I took a star because the magnetic closures are pretty pointless. There aren't enough sewn in to really keep them closed, but it's lightweight… so added a package of magnets myself. I'd buy again but don't let the “magnetic closure” fool ya!
These curtains do a great job blocking out light and definitely live up to the blackout claim. Once installed, the room is noticeably darker, which has helped a lot with sleep and temperature control. The magnetic closure is a nice feature and helps keep the panels closed without gaps. The fabric feels sturdy and looks nice once hung, especially for the price. Installation was straightforward using the back tabs. My only reason for giving four stars instead of five is that the material is a bit stiff at first and took some time to hang smoothly. Overall, these are solid blackout curtains that work well and look good. I'd recommend them and would purchase again.
I like the magnetic closure, I just wish the magnets were on both sides. I have long windows and need multiple sets (4 panels) to cover the window properly. Also since it's a long window I have a support bracket in the middle of the rod. This creates a gap in between panels 2 and 3. Magnetic connections on both side would allow for connecting multiple panels on longer windows. I tried rearranging them to make the magnets connect over the bracket, but the central air vent is under panels 1 %262 which is why I first got the magnetic ones.
I liked the price and it does block out light. However, it is thin, not lined, so it doesn't drape like in the picture. Also because it blocks out light fabric color is darker, not as lively as shown in pictures. Do get all that though would cost 10xs a much for installation in a guest room only used once in a while it will be fine.
They lost two stars because I received 2 "left" panels, so the magnetic closure is non-existent, and the panels didn't match; one panel was rod pocket design and the other was rod tab design. Fortunately there was a rod pocket as well, but it is annoying that the two panels don't match. Other than those issues, the curtains are well made and they do a great job of blocking light.
I took a chance on purchasing these curtains and unfortunately it turned out to be my mistake. In this case I got what I paid for. The advertised dimensions are 37" X 84" however after measuring 3x, because I couldn't believe my own eyes, the length was 82". So, back they went to Walmart!
