I can't verify its waterproof claim. Because it lives on the dash of my truck where it happily maintains my battery plugged into the 12v power plug. Going by the looks seems like it could handle a sprinkle or two. Long term use outside. I'm not sure since the charge controller is on the back of the solar panel. We all know the little solar yard lights will start to corrode over a period of time. Having said that I'm sure with a little silicone you could seal up the charge controller. On the charge controller. I love the led indicator light on the unit. I have a better idea of the status of the connection status, sunlight strength, charge status,. Unlike my old unit. On my previous solar charger... It was smaller, more expensive name brand established unit that melted on my dash in the Texas sun.

This 20watt soar panel trickle charger works excellent for keeping my vehicles battery topped of all seasons as I don't drive this vehicle very much and it keeps my battery topped of even if I don't drive👍

This was just what I was looking for to keep the battery charged in my old Buick since I don't drive it much. Great price, easy to use.

i liked the ease of setup. for me all i had to do was plug it into the lighter socket. wirked for an older make of car easily, and 2002 toyota corolla.

Online they say 20 watt will keep a Sprinter van charged. This has 30 watt of power in case you are around Pittsburgh with all their cloudy days. Charges and stops when battery is full. Does not seem to contribute to parasitic drain on the battery when it's not sunny. Pleasantly surprised at how well it works

The product arrived on time and in good shape. The problem is, it is very flimsy and hard to use because you have to use it outside your vehicle, and the suction cups are not deep enough to hold the charge platform on the window because of a large receptor under the panel. It is just flimsy and basically cheaply made. I would not recommend it, and in fact,t I am returning my purchase because it just doesn't work, and you have to use the windshield wipers to hold it in place it is just not practical.

Waterproof should've alerted me it's for outside use, on the windsheild or the hood. But instructions say the heat inside a car on a hot day, can melt/warp the plastic on this solar panel so it's USELESS if ppl can't put it on their dash while in a store, restaurant, etc. If you put this on your hood in a parking lot, someone can easily steal it. Why even include a 12v plug with it. Guess this will be strictly for HOME use when my car is in my driveway.

This is unsuitable for my hybrid car. It will upset the use of the 12 volt battery, which in my Honda, replaces an alternator. Not worth damaging the integrated hybrid system,
